  2. We also had the world's smallest XT6!
  3. Next year!? ......I was hoping I might catch her at fall Carlisle:grin:
  4. OK boys and girls.... Last post before Carlisle! Im heading home with the trailer to load up the brat. Ill see y'all at Carlisle Friday afternoon/evening!
  5. Darlingchip and I are bringing the Coleman stove, cookware, coffee pot and coffee, bottled water, and *some* food. Planning to leave *about* noon.... that should put us down there at about 4 pm. (ish)
  6. Jess and I were debating on chips and dip too..... Veggie snacks are good (I just dont like celery) and are better for you than porking out on sweet rolls all day!
  7. Man! Thats a NICE looking Loyale! My first car was also 500.00 ....but nothing like that nice shiny roo! +1 for ladies in subarus
  8. Yup. Aluminum is wonderful stuff to work with. 15 minutes, a sawzall, a file, and some self-tapping screws!
  9. Hmmmm.... I didnt know that. In THAT case, I have and EA81 starter all ready to go! You want me to ship that bad boy?
  10. How much work is it to take the starter off an ea82? I have a "parts wagon" that is Bucky's (very rusty) clone....well, except its 4WD. Anyway, its a M/T, and the starter is good. I could pull it, and priority mail that baby up to ya. Do you think it would get there in time if I sent it tuesday AM? Lemme know
  11. I just printed out the numbered carlisle aerial map and was looking at the spots. Where do they usually hide us subaru folks?:-p -Just curious
  12. I just put one in MY brat.... so I know how much work it is:grin: Looks good! (lets see some 29's on that baby!)
  13. Even though Im excited to be bringing my offroad, mud-covered brat.... I still hold to the saying "I dont bring my car, my CAR brings ME" Paul is right.....just showin up is the most important thing. Although Id love to see Bucky too!
  14. I LOVE IT! That just rocks. Just about 1 more week till Carlisle
  15. My folks bought a 1983 wagon in 1985 that was "gently used" and in excellent shape (no rust) Not even 7 years later....my dad couldnt get it through "lick it and stick it" NYS inspection because the guy knew us all, and said the car wasnt safe to drive or ride in:dead: It wasnt.
  16. I know this is the way of things in the northeast...... but its just too friggin sad! :-\ I HATE SALT:mad:
  17. I know in PA they dont sell alcohol at the convenience stores like in NY:-\ Personally, I really dont even drink, but I was down for fall Carlisle last year, and my buddy wanted to go out and get somethin for himself. He had a HECK of a time! Youve gotta buy beer at a bar in PA....and at 9-somethin at night on a weekend.... all the friggin bars were closed! (he was pissed) My .02
  18. Propane....or MAPP gas. MAPP heats faster (and hotter) I would'nt get HALF of what I set out to fix accomplished.....were it not for that torch!
  19. Thanks, I like it too. The lightbar is actually the front roof rack that I stole off my '83 "parts wagon" It fit the brat roof nicely, and was ZERO DOLLARS!
  20. OK.... lift kit and tires, DONE. Now Im faced with a new problem that Id think is fairly common With the headers sitting lower than the skid plate, I dont dare go into any "extreme" off road situations. Can I cut/weld my pipes back at more of an angle to tuck them behind my skid plate? ....or is it necessary to keep that first few inches straight? Thanks everyone!
