it looks like the jeep is pulling the roo.
  6. make the front of the trailer "pivot" so it wont bind when offroad.then have a pin to hold it in the locked position for any street driving.

no thanks it gets cold here in the middle of summer for bizare reasons.so i will ditch the rear tailgate (brat) and run a net.not to make it a racecar but so it doesnt pork up when I add bumpers, super swampers, etc.
  8. that it can fit places where atv's go and carry stuff while doing that... so much fun to drive up atv trails when a built chevy couldnt possibly fit!
  9. im not advocating littering but the mudflap disappeared!!!! probally becuase im not looking at the mudflaps when Im trail riding.
  10. I dunno what is more satisfing? being in a super built rock buggy and jumping over obsticles in .00000001 seconds or taking a vehicle that is not super capible just has a good driver to go places the rock buggy could go? Id rather have a full bodied vehicle anyday.takes skill to go places without body damage in a full bodied vehicle. subaru>tube frame....at least in the sense that it takes far more skill to operate one correctly... although 450 hp in something weight a ton
  11. would 3/16X2" steel flex? Id like to go with flatstock for a cleaner look but...
  12. Im gonna fab up a bar out of 3/16" flat stock.should make a decent light bar.My question is this:Should I mount the rack to the rear of the cab(standard pickup offroad light position) or at the leading edge of the cab for better lighting? I plan on putting four rectanglar lights on top and have a tab behide the lights(2X3X3/16 tab) in the middle right behind the lights as a place to mount the CB antenna(have to get job and get it running first). so should I mount to the front of cab or rear edge of cab?

so is there any beef around the suspension mounts to put in twin A arms?wont happen imediatly(I have a friend with a metal fabrication shop, unfortunalty he is out of town till june...)
  14. what are some pieces of your subaru that has come off never to be found again when offroad? the first time I took my brat on some decent trails I left the passenger side rear mudflap as a sovenier(the hard plastic thing that says 4wd).(MIA) as of now Ive been to lazy to remove the other one.I should so I can kep it for sovenier...so anyway what are some bits that have fallen of your subies when offroad?
  15. more lights=needed on the rack also with your snorkel like that be very carefull not to drive into water an anything resembing fast.Your snorkel would suck in the spash:eek:

    nice,need to find beefy axle
  17. cnc=OVERRATED I could do the same with a good old lathe and mill:lol: i dunno might make engine more powerful by reducing rotating inertia...
  18. Uberoo replied to SOOBOUTLAW's topic in Off Road
    *JINX* you just jinxed them
  19. try welding some plates to hold the body in original place.A lot cheaper than a new car or having to worry about wether or not the back end will colapse..
  20. redrill toyota/pugs= 5 AA wheels=1 OH!!! BURN! If AA is listening/viewing lower the price or include rubber with the $400 four rims with super swampers for 400! where do I sign!!! that would be a good discount considering super swampers in that size are just short of 100 a pop. or could creat a combo for like $600 ive seen combo's with X rim and Y tire sell for 4-800 just make the tires 27X9.5X15 super swamper SSR's:banana:
  21. you compain to doctor "that it hurts when I do this" doctor says "don't do that" if you are doing burnouts and you have wheelhop then the simple answer is to stop doing burnouts:lol:
  22. opps my bad, havent looked at your site lately. true they are $400 but what is shipping?so 5-600 and they dont even have tires.(depending on shipping rates)
  23. at 6-7 1/2 hours away I wouldnt be able to make it.I havent even taken my subi more than 45 miles from my house.
  24. AA wheels are good, being that they were designed for offroad subarus. However at over $600 with no tires is not really a good deal.instead go with 4x4 chevy or toyata rims. You have two options here drill the hubs to fit the wheels or drill the wheels to fit the hubs(my favorite becuase only 2 holes needs to be drilled in each wheel as opposed to drilling four in the hubs)However if you drill the hubs it looks cleaner because there are no empty holes.it come down to this if you decide to do it: weaken the rims or weaken the hubs.I have some 15X7 wheels that are rated for 5500lbs(each) so redrilling them should make them rated for like 2500lbs per wheel.that alone is worth more than the car...
