  1. Shoulda crossed the river in the second pic shooting guns and going out in the middle of nowhere goes hand in hand
  2. Sorry for resurrecting this, but I just stumbled onto it. Figured it would be easier than making a new topic. Andyjo, anything new to report other than your bashed oil pan? I've got a DPST switch or two lieing around, might have to go all out if I do this though. Gonna go dig around my engine bay tommorow and see what I can do, probably gonna install a tranny cooler and flush it out first though.
  3. I've raced my Outback before. http://www.swvrscca.org/2006Results/March06Class.htm < Class results http://www.swvrscca.org/2006Results/March06PAX.htm < PAX Results The best tip I got is have someone thats been doing it a while ride with you the first two runs, then do the last run solo. Also, take all the weight out of course (I didnt on my first run). And just get a lot more seat time before spending any real money on your wagon. Stay frosty.
  4. I picked up my 2000 Outback for 10k Even with 45K miles on it. Automatic. Standard Options.
  5. I've got a skid plate on the engine, but the 4EAT oil pan is bare. Sorry for the confusion.
  6. Now you got me worried about my transmission oil pan!
  7. Winches are fast? And does the mudrat bumper incorporate any type of front reciever hitch to use as a mobile hard mount? Do you plan on just running the winch on all the time?
  8. That thing is bad rump roast It reminds me of those remote control cars when I was a kid that could flip sides and still keep going.
  9. Yeah the adjustable lumbar is the killer for me, it doesent seem to have a comfortable position, just 3 varying degrees of garbage. I'll find me some seats, I checked into getting them recontoured and two upholstry shops told me the same thing "Get some other seats, these arent worth fixing"
  10. Are they comfortable in later years? I dont know how else to explain the 00 seats except that they're garbage.
  11. They suck, I've found more comfortable seats in state park benches. And I average around 100 miles a day, so as soon as I can drop the cash I'm either swapping them or recontouring them.
  12. Subaru Outback guy here. From the .org, place seemed nice so I signed up. Drive an 00 and need to fix the seats.
