DONE!!!! The oil pick up was in good shape so I did not have to mess around trying to remove it. And yes its in there really tight. Thanks a million for all the help, replacing the oil pan was actually really easy. She's running great with no leaks. Now I have the rest of my Saturday to mess around! Jeremy -

The JB weld lasted long enough for me to drive it home last night. Now today starts the replacement of the pan. Wish me luck! -

What if I patched it with JB weld or some other patch stuff as a temporary fix so I can drive it 3 miles home? Any thoughts? -

Do you think my oil pick up is screwed? I have a parts engine laying around, so I just need to know if I should grab the pick up or not? -

Alright great, this might not be too much of a nightmare after all. Skidplate? well um... last time I changed the oil I was too lazy to put it back on... oops... now Im paying for my laziness. Thanks for the help! Now Im going to be towed home by a Ford Ranger.... sigh :-\ -
Do I need to pull my engine on my ea82 to get to the back bolts to pull the oil pan? A rock found my oil pan today and put a nice size hole in it. Link to the video.. who can guess which bump did it? I think the 2nd?!?!? From inside the car...

Yes its a horrible job, but it's money. I have to drive to McCarran Nevada everyday which is a 45 mile round trip. So I'm looking at about $40 a week just in gas.. Argh! Sooo WCSS in gas would cost about $210 round trip taking the interstate. Screw that!:-\ I'm in the market for a motorcycle. Anyone have one for sale? I found an older Honda 450 Silverwing. It needs to be fixed up but I read it can get 50+ MPG! -

I can't make it up this year. No way I can get a day off during my 3 month probation period at the new job. Oh well, maybe next year. -
Lonely Brat in Battle Mountain NV
subieman replied to bratgrl's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
I saw that same brat on my trip to the mid west a few months ago. My roommate thought I was crazy whenever I pointed out a Subaru. She just does not understand! -
No problem, I was on my way to pick up a set of rims I found on CraigsList. The brat was sitting on the same road where my destination was. Its unfortunate I not see this thread before I left, I would have called the number and taken it on a test drive for ya. Good luck on whatever you decide to do. If it were me I would pass it up, there are much better brats out there to be had for $1500+

I lived in Grass Valley for 20 years. Only wheeling I did was in Greenhorn Valley, and a little cluster of logging roads out Quaker Hill Rd. Back then I was not really into wheeling, but if you know of some good trails I'm sooo up for wheeling in my home town. Jeremy

A/c.... Can It Be Done!?!?!
subieman replied to RdNkBrt's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I have a schematic that shows step by step how to install the A/C in the EA81. Might take me a few days to find it, as soon as I do I'll post it up. -
