I just picked up a 94 Legacy 2.2L 5MT to clean up and sell. Its what I do for extra money. While doing my inspection and cleanup I found out that the previous owner had installed a custom made header fabed up by a local muffler shop . Its a good looking piece of work and it also has a newer universal cat and O2 sensor. Im wondering if I can pull the exhaust from the 94 and put it in my 96 outback 2.2l 5MT and then put my 96 exhaust in the 94? I was planning on doing a full exhaust job on the outback and this would rectify it with no to very little cost.

Ive installed 2 kits from the Ebay seller out of Washington state. I contacted them direct from there phone number on ebay and saved $10. $156 shipped to the door and it had.... Tbelt pulleys tensioner oil pump seal/crank seal Camshaft seal drive belts valve cover gaskets H20 pump Never had a problem with there stuff and it was all good materials.

"nerf material" thats exactly what my 96 outbacks feels like and it has a deceleration rattle from underneath between the front seats. I already removed all the heat shields trying to fix that noise. Only happens when I down shift and the engine back pressure kicks in. Probably should replace it. Dealer only part?

The suspension was specifically built up for that day. They also salted the take off and landing to firm the snow. Salting the snow causes the surface to become hard as cement. Its for real folks. DC and the boys aint F'in around. Ken block takes this stuff seriously and with the big time corporate sponsorship of DC (owned by quicksilver) and other major players . The money was all there. No need to be skeptical , just enjoy the awesomeness of 2 sports combined.

Yeah its awesome ! Im a dist. mgr for a large snow/skate retailer here in Oregon and we got that issue 2 weeks ago for dist. Ken Block (owner of DC shoes) does rallye racing and he jumped the 70' jump at the snowpark new zealand during a photo/video shoot with the DC dudes. Launched his WRX 100' and when it landed it crumbled. Although it was the last jump of the trip they managed to do doubles and triples with snowboarders off the jump. They jumped over , got towed in and launched with the WRX in the air , side by side. It reaffirmed my desire to get a WRX as my 2nd whip.

Im picking up a solid 1 owner 94 Legacy 2.2L 5MT tomorrow. Its just one of my many buy and sell subarus. The tranny has never given the PO any problems and the clutch is 2 years old. It wines in all gears but goes into all gears without any crunches or grinds. It has been whining like this for about a year. Im gonna swap out the fluid when I bring it in for inspection and tuneup before it goes up for sale. Any recomendations as far as gear oils and or additives to use to help quiet that bad boy down. These trannies will go for days with the whine so thats really of no concern to me. Id just like to help queit it down and change the fluids for the next owner.

I did look at those plates. They looked intact and unbent. Nothing that caught my attention. I will inspect them closer. Im wondering if my rear tranny mount is possibly shot ??? When I grabbed the front of the driveline and pulled on it , there seem to be signifigant movement. Im doing Timing belt, water pump, seals and front driveaxles beginning of next week so when I have it up off the ground and imobile for a few days Im gonna try and recreate the sound with the wheels off the ground while I hang out below the car. Might aswell replace the mount since itll be up and it doesnt seem like its all that tough to do. Looks like 2 14mm nuts.

WellI got under there yet again tonight and shook and shook the heck out of the driveline . Banged on the all of it with a rubber mallet and still...... Nothing came into contact or resembled the noise Im trying to track down! I even removed all the heat shields from the front cat back. Nothin helped! GRRRRRRR!!!!! The sound is only when I let the vehicle decelerate using the engines back pressure. Not on acceleration . Could a bad front diff cause such a ruckus noise ? And how much play should the tranny mount have ?
