  1. hrm, just like last time, i installed a sensor. it now doesnt run good unless i floor it, even after i cut the wire to the sensor, and reset the computer. reely bad
  2. i have a hatch runin mpfi, and i just now added an o2 sensor after 3k miles without one. so i hooked it up, and reset the computer, drove it, and i swear it made my car slower. my guage bounces from the green to red, and when its floored it goes to green, just like it should. when does the computer look at the 02 sensors input? and will it take 50 miles or so of driving for the computer to use the data, or whatever they told me at the place i bought it?
  3. workin for a dealership of any kind rools. i get parts at a discount at napa, checker, subaru, toyota, pretty much wherever i need that has to do with automotive.
  4. i think the deal is you have to present it to him in an email.
  5. i hate all that crap. ttyl brb afk rofl omg i like words myself
  6. it sounds dangerous to me
  7. subawhoohoo, i think all that info applies to you/us cept you would have to have a custom drive shaft made to get power from the tranny to the rear end.
  8. i dont even look at the stock guage anymore. if you got 0 oil pressure, youl hear your valvetrain before your lower end
  9. man... i've been runin witout an o2 and gettin 25 mpg, so you must have had a big problem for a while. my flapper system will run and drive without a maf. im thinkin maybe the tps, if its set wrong, or broken. mine did wierd stuff kinda like that when a wire broke inside the disty. what kind of maf you got?
  10. i dont think you will, the oil pressure is measured before all the oil goes through your lower end, so its measuring the restriction that the oil passages are creating. i was thinkin it raised the pressure just a tad on my ea82, because the oil doesnt get as hot as it used to.
  11. we should go to northfield, if there is another midwest meet.
  12. another thought, morganm, just had some problems with idling, and staling, and it tourned out to be his alternator/regulator. his dash lights also did funny stuff tho. does your air fuel guage, go all the way to the rich, or even off the scale at idle? i had a bad disty and it made my rpms go up and down, 500- 1200 sometimes could just be big cams and low compression. maybe thats where the ajdustable cam gears comes in. anybody with exp. out there!? sounds like it must awesome at stock boost even. how does the blowoff sound
  13. joe, we'll have to plan some saturday or sunday, or like morgan and i did, just call in sick monday and rage it!_!
  14. ya muscle car guys have alot of problems idling with big rump roast cams, and they usually bump the compression to help, idle and low end. this boosted eclipse my cousin had, idled reely crappy and ran rich as hell, but when he floored it, idle didnt mean crap. if its the same disty as mine, vac opperated, with a flapper air meter, it could be your distributor causin problems too... maybe
  15. i think gettin em clean is a reely big deal, along with correct torque. this is one of the reasons so many peepl dont like ea82s as much, as ea81s. and if somebody overtorqued them before you, they could be warped, and may never seal good again.
  16. oh its more than just isopropyl. b-12 chemtool is a little more harsh, if you wanna try that too. used just like seafoam
  17. ya, thats like a bigass vac leak right? unless you have a map sensor. could it be a combo of the high pressure regulator, and a vac leak from the bov. what type maf? flapper or hotwire?
  18. i personally like oil in my crankcase. or at least stuff that is designed for engine oil. i have heard of peepl using kerosine, and brake fluid too. mmo is cheap enough, and if you use it after seafoam, and an oil change, its about as good as it gets.
  19. just so morganm doesnt sound completely retarded, Subarube, at first was calling them timing cover gaskets. his post has been edited. im at 5k since last time, and its not leaking. i used a little bit of blue silicone on mine, and new rubber washer tingies.
  20. my dad swears hes squirted liquid wrench down the spark plug holes, filled with oil, and started a toyota corolla, that the same thing happend to.
  21. this aint gettin on the third page that quick!
  22. aw... i didnt mean to exclude anybody. ea82 guys feel free
  23. i have my front covers off, but not the entire covers. works fine for me. lotsa peepl leave themoff. may make them break earlier, because of the elements gettin to them, but when they do, it'll be easier to change them.
  24. you need backing plates, calipers, and the rotors, also. very easy to do, and well worth all of the 30 minutes a side.
