thats a sick setup. what do you think is better, 2 normal 60amp alternators or a single xt6 90amp one?

i was looking up that light stuff again and saw that once you hit like 6 or so 100 watt lights you run into problems with killing alternators and stuff. have any of you guys ran into that kind of stuff? oh yeah that bar looks sick "The Beast I Drive"

  5. that wagon is amazing
  6. i don't mean to stray off topic, but i've been looking for tires alot lately and am wondering how big of tire makes too much stress on the axels and bearings and stuff. im running 15x8 toyota rims right now and looking towards the Mickey Thompson Baja Radial MTX's - http://www.4wheelparts.com/PDT67049.aspx - are 28's too big?
  7. im going to have to look into this now. i don't care about the trip computer, and i guess i can look up the rest of the wiring
  8. i guess i'll take that as a no for me, thanks for the help
  9. can i switch a digital dash (86 turbo) to a normal dash (from my 91)? can the dashes be swapped?
  10. hey scott i can't send you a pm caue it says your box is full, but you should give me a call next time you make some parts or go wheelin. my wagon hasn't got to go play in the mud in a really long time
  11. hey scott sorry for taking so long to see that... are you gonna be doing anything tommorw (thursday)?
  12. i guess i'll research more, thanks for clearing up my questions though
  13. i just went out and checked, and it's not a lsd. so if i want a limited slip rear diff i'll need to find a rx or turbo xt drive line?
  14. i've got an 85 gl turbo wagon sitting in my garage, does it have a lsd diff or is that just gl-10s? also am i correct about automatic's 3.7, and manual 3.9 diff ratios? if that is right, have people opened up automatic transmissions to get out the 3.7 to put in a manual transmission? i'm asking about all this because i have a 91 loyale (manual), a spare d/r 5 speed, and that turbo car's automatic trans.
  15. i think im going to end covering all that up underneath, because i have open timing belts and don't really want anything going in there and jamming stuff up. i'll probably make a new bumper that connects to a bigger skidplate.
  16. redrilled some 15x8 toyota wheels, and got some 205/65-15 tires to fit (had to cut a little bit of the fender.) now i just need some lift and new big tires.
  17. im out in ferndale if you have no luck with anybody else. beastbikes_david@hotmail.com
  18. for some reason i can't find what ft/lbs to torque them to. any help?
  19. yeah, i think i'll just go with all the original stuff, just intercool it or something. thanks for the help, you caught me just in time.
  20. i just pulled my 86 gl turbo wagon motor apart for a rebuild. it has an ihi turbo, is that stock? oh yeah and higher compression.... i have a non turbo motor sitting in my shop. how reliable is the higher compression? also is there any cross over type stuff like turbo pistons in a non turbo block or non turbo pistons in a turbo block? thanks -David

  22. that's goining to be the best brat ever
