On my 87 RX EA82T this morning the Charge,Brake Fluid and Stop Light,Lights were on and the Voltage gauge was just below 12V. It was fine last night when i drove home then this morning these were on. as i drive they go away but when i stop at a signal they come back on. Any ideas on what to check? Not sure if the Alt is going bad or the battery or something else. TIA

Im also working on the wiring aspect of the EJ20 WRX motor swap into my RX. Just the harness for now but its a start :-\

Im wondering how much it would cost to have some Billet adapters made that would replace the 4 Lug Plate with the 5x100 pattern,Keeping the stock rotors in place. Just a dream, but it would be nice if the adapters were not to thick to upset the offset of the wheels. Im at the point now where im thinking of filling the holes and redrilling the stock plate

Thanks guys. Ive torn down and rebuilt the engine in my old 04 WRX before so hopefully doing the front seals on this engine wont be so bad.

This is spawned from Huck369's thread about the EA81 oil leaks.My 87 EA82T leaks from what looks to be the front of the motor. What are the seals that should be replaced on the front of the motor?Im planning on doing the oil pan at the same time but dont know what seals lurk behind the timing covers.

Which shocks are you using Front and rear then? Where the stock shocks blown as the car doesnt seem much different in ride height from the stock to the miata shocks? And do you think 17" wheels would still fit in there,By chance?

How would the D/R 5 speed hold up to the 227 HP of the WRX engine?

This is one of those things that a pic would be worth a thousand words Where would this screw be located on the manifold?

My 87 RX with the Ea82T when warm idles at around 1200 rpms.How can this be adjusted? Can the linkage be adjusted or does the TPS control that? TIA

My 87 RX just turned over 124,000. When i bought it 3 months ago,it had 121,xxx Not too bad 124,000 in 20 years = 6200 miles a year

Cool,Thanks alot guys I would shy away from Uncle Scotties cocktail as i used that in my old 04 WRX and it made the trans grind going into 4th gear and sounded like it was going to fall apart.I put the stock trans fluid back in and all was good again. This is just my experience but others seem to like it.
