Yeah, sorry to say, 4WD/AWD does not help if you don't know how to handle the vehicle to begin with.

Very true and well said. Now if only is didn't cost $450/6mo to insure this thing I'd have it made. So now my total for insuring both Soobs and the Yoda will be about $1,000 every six months Going to need a 2nd job to pay back my parents, pay for this insurance and try to have money to live on Lol, life is grand.

Maybe cause Toyota discovered that Automatics are just as good offroad as Manuals (Given you have the Torque) unlike an EA82

Yeah I like it for the most part, just is going to take me time to get it the way I want it. You have the Manual versions down there!? They are all Autos in the U.S that I've seen.

Jboy now has the U-haul hitch installed on his '96 Brighton along with the Drawbar and 2" ball. Enjoy! It has served me well.

Finally adjusted the Rockers/pushrods Sunday, now its nice and quiet. Also has more power and runs better. I've been replacing all the vac lines I can on this thing as well. Jboymechanic and my Dad gave me a hand with the Lash adjustment, as its a two man job. Valve Cover Gasket (Victor Reins) Disty. All Adjusted and Valve cover back on. Split rear windows! Jon, the reason I bought a Toyota Vs. a Wrangler or Cherokee is I wanted a big Toyota with 3rd row seating, this was one of the most capable vehicles of the '90s and has been since they came out in the 50s. Solid front/rear axles, 3-link front, 5-link rear, front/rear LSDs, Center Diff Lock. Stick some 33x10.5 BFG KM2s on this rig and its set.

What Have You Done to your Soobie lately? (Please post in here and keep it going)
Chances are the floorboard is now like swiss cheese (Or will be once you sit in it) Midwest/east coast is hard on these uni-bodies for sure. Doesn't look to have a hood, I wonder whats grown around the motor lol...

NGK Plugs
That is probably 97% the reason. You can also run (V-Powers) in the EA82 as long as its the correct part number. Just make sure the shank on any spark plug (Top of the threads to the bottom of the electrode) matches the plugs you take out.

Limited Edition Brat?
You can buy those "Limited Edition" chrome stick-on plates at Autozone and most any parts house. Subaru never made a "Limited edition" Brat, plus there are just gobs of mix-matched parts all over that rig... The hood vents remind me a cold air returns for a house.

NGK Plugs
Yes, that is standard for an EA82. '82 Yamaha Virago 920 runs the same plugs (Tid-bit a info)

*Cough* you also drive around in Milwaukee where cops seem more strict, out in Waukesha CO. nobody cares, TW10 is a moving violation as it sits anyway Lol!

When is there going to be a "What Have You Done to you Toyota lately?" thread? I think we are in need on one in the "Non-Subaru Vehicles Section"

Figured out why the Valve train is so damn noisy on this POS, I need to do a Valve adjustment (Theres no hydraulics) only Pushrods. This sounds like a ***************, you have to adjust all the valve while the engine is hot. So I need to get everything off the top end (Vac lines, intake boot, ect.) take the Valve cover off and start adjusting (Turn motor so another set of valves close and do the same thing till they are all done) all before the engine cools. I have never Adjusted valves before, thank god my Dad has lol....

Definitely an interesting read, Its sure coming along and is turning out great! I was shocked that the rear axles use a "U-Joint" set up Vs. a CVJ and DOJ. Keep up the good work! -Tom

Replaced the wires today along with rear shoes (I hate the drum setup on this rig) Subaru has a way better set up, I am also displeased with a lot of other things with this truck so far. Been debating on selling it for more then what I paid just to get back what I put in and wash my hands of this whole ordeal, stick with Subarus (You won't go wrong) Motor ticks like crazy and I have some insane pinging, working on it, thats all I can say.

My '95 Legacy: Trashwagon10
I am not selling the Legacy now, I am going to Store the EA82 during winter (3 months or so) keep all of them on my insurance (See what that will cost) and drive the Legacy and LandCruiser during winter, come spring time, I will have all 3 at my house again. Jon, the Hitch is still yours (If you were wondering) I also need to talk to you about "Sto-age" talk to you Sunday unless ya PM me.

Thanks, its in nice shape, just can't say that about the top end of the engine (yet) Pushrod or somethings making a lot of racket (Has gotten better with Seafoam) but still not to the point I would like, it also has what I think sounds like pre-ignition (Almost constant while under load) Maybe some seafoam down the brake booster will clear that up. Got a Valve cover gasket coming, gonna pull the cover and see whats up. I also have an NGK wire set and new Ceramic brakes coming tomorrow. Update: Greased all the fittings I could find, still need to grease the steering knuckles.
