  1. Yeah that's true, Atleast you know it will hold a ton.
  2. So it is green! Good! I was worried the other owner put the wrong kind in it! As for the Cocktail, It doesn't taste to good lol:lol: Thank's man
  3. Reason I'm asking is that when I take the Radiator out for the T-belts, Oil pump stuff, When I put the rad back in and put in new fluid I want it to be right. That's all!
  4. So I did a search on the forums and nothing came up. So I was wondering what type of Anti-freeze I should use in my EA82? Right now it's got the green stuff in it and that's how I bought in July 06. But I've heard that the green stuff is only for the older vehicles that have Cast-iron blocks? So what should I use? The Red GM coolant for Alui blocks or what? Thank's Tom PS: I've also heard that the green fluid will couse Rust/corrosion?
  5. Hahaah yep we all like photos! Now I'm not into alot for looks, But is that two 2X4's and some bolts? Won't that rot and get soft? Just a thought thow.. Still good going man.
  6. Well come on! You know we're all picture hoarders over here lol:lol: Glad you found some!
  7. Yeah it's great! I have it printed out:clap: Along with the Oil pump one!!!
  8. Well yeah it can be anything like that, But since he took it to a shop to have the T-belts done that is the most likely problem. And that's the one thing i don't understand about repair shops? Why can't most of them do Timing on a older gen Subaru right? Don't they use the FSM's? Or some sort of book?
  9. No way! Someone agrees with me! That's like the only thing i can think of. It's a Timing mistake. I'd take the car back and have it done right and for FREE!
  10. Well i don't think it's a Valve issue because you can't damage anything by having a T-belt snap. The thing it could be is that the Timing is off by a little bit. Maybe when he did the job he could have went with the wrong markings on the flywheel. Can you discribe how it's running? Rough, Poor idel, Missing ect... From what i've heard about Repair places is that there not really good with Subaru's. If you want more info heres a link Clicky Alright! I'm sure a Guru will stop by soon..... Good luck
  11. Only 914 miles! How many did it come out with from the Plant?
  12. No theres no way thats the Mountain Grizzly! I thought the rear 1/4 panels were roted on that. Maybe i wrong? it could very likely be it! Huh......
  13. Wow! Man you sold that! It was proportioned really nice too. Sorry I can't help ya with finding the owner of it.
  14. Yep, I beleave the older ones have the lower pipe at an angle IIRC, But if that rad is cheeper i'd go with it! Hose's are cheep too.
  15. Well that just sucks! Everything is about bigger rims now-a days!
  16. Snowmark? Is that one of those cheep compenys like Douglass? That's what i have right now lol..
  17. Man i wish i could find some A/T 175/80/13's tires that looked like that! Is there such a thing?
  18. Yeah that stuff sounds good! I've used some rust solvent stuff like that too. it's mades by the "Bondo" compeny, It comes in a pink jelly/goo formula and the longer you leave it on the better it works. What it does is take the rusted/roted metel and turns it black and will stop that from rusting even more. but what i do is really goop it on the area and let it sit...... and sit..... For maybe an hour (Less time and it will work just as fine) Then apply some bondoglass (Bondo with Fiberglass reson in it) It's really strong and it will never chip off! But anyhoo the "Bondo rust remover" will work until you get around to fixing it right. Best of luck with it! -Tom
  19. The one thing i forgot to metion last night was, The Red gauges are awesome!
  20. Oh and the other thing was that if you did put it over the door windows the peice that holds it to the car since it go's under the plastic gutter and holds it to the car. Theres no space for it there. The only place that had enough gap was that center brace between the front and rear windows and over the rear cargo window.
  21. God that's nice! The white really makes it look like a soob..
  22. Okey i guess i should have added more info about the feet. Atleast on this set up you can't mount them over the doors because that front peice of metel kinda graps under the gutter, So if you are to put that over the doors you'll have a hard time opening the doors and that peice then has nothing to grab.... The first part of the foot rest's on the gutter, that's right. but that front peice which holds it to the vehicle grabs the plastic gutter part and won't work over the doors. Maybe yakima is diffrent? But anyhoo just a heads up if anyone gets the Surco racks....
  23. Heres the best pic i could find of the feet.. Oh and where i have the front one mounted. That's the only place, Because you can't put a raingutter mount over the door windows! Once you open the door, if you can open the door the mount will just fall down. Just a little advice. just incase someone reads this tread and they won't say "I wonder what that guy was talking about"
  24. Yeah that was just an idea to go to the soob dealer because i saw some stuff there, But it would cost wooow alot more! And the base/feet on the surco bars are really strong!! You can pull on them and the whole car will rock side to side and i was really puling to see how much it can take. And man it's like a rock! All the feet are is a thick braket that slides down into the rain gutter and then another piece of thick aluminum shaped slightly like a L go's over the first peice and then your 1/2" bolt with locking nut hold that on the car! Wish i had a way to explain it better. And theres really no one can steal it because where the bolt head is is at a hard to get at. Really a good idea. but what ever fits your life and what you're happy with is the point. -Tom
  25. Yeah he was just talking about the rack bars, That's right... Huh yeah Yakima is a great brand and i guess just for the bars thats not to much. the other thing he could try is the Subaru dealer. They have alot of Yakima stuff. But he could also try Ebay too like you said. What ever he likes, I'm just giving him options.
