  1. Yes thats all true aswell Lol.. I dunno it just popped in my head :-p
  2. Not to boost this thread or anything but: Speaking of axle rub, Can someone post a picture on where they tend to rub on an EA82 wagon? I don't see where they could on mine? Much oblidged! -Tom
  3. Wow I actually said it was a Hitachi before anyone else and was right! Must be all the knowledge you and others have givin me (Thank you) Lol I know the Lunar Rover was electric, but I mean NASA should make something with an EA81 or EA82 (Since Niku brough up what else could be done with a Subaru motor) I figure, convert it to Propane (As is doesn't freeze) and make a moon buggy with a Flat-4! Only problem I see is oil freezing. I dunno lol -Tom
  4. Yea the choke was throwing me off too, indeed a pic from the other side without the air cleaner would help. JesZek, Lol wish I could. but there is no such thing that I know of, would be awesome though! -Tom
  5. Wow as low as 8" of water! Hmm, looks to be the original hitachi (Deffantly not a Weber) maybe GB will pop by with more info -Tom
  6. What in gods name is that connected to? Lol.. Looks cool though! That air cleaner almost looks like the type people use on those pontoon boads..? -Tom
  7. Are there any (Old, New, ANY) subaru center caps that will fit on the 14" Pug 505s? I was looking at some caps from newer soobs on ebay, but not sure if anything will work? -Tom
  8. Well and a NASA Rover! a EA82 the runs on propane!
  9. Oh yes, I've seen those. Cool wheels! Best of luck getting new caps!
  10. Truckerman, Lol yes I too am not impressed with EuroTech. not sure what branch Freightliner is from? I'm wasn't trying to start an argument either, I'm just pointing out the not all blueish lights are bad (Most are crap) I know the light design for the Toyota FJs are awesome! (Parents own one) liggts up the entre road along with the sides. Japanese tech at its finest haha. -Tom
  11. Lol c'mon even 3" or 6" more (Whoopie) Lol.. If your over 6-1/2 ft, don't buy a soob. (But I don't see alot of basketball players driving Subarus) haha -Tom
  12. Oh I see, too bad. but at least no one was hurt like you said :)

Trying to be a Collin Mcrae huh, Lol. well next time do some sliding around in a snow coverd lot (You'll feel the vehicles response) and won't have to worrie on rolling it.

Hope you get another Soob soon!

    -Tom

  13. On a T-wagon, is that little bump up for more rear head room or what? I never seen on in person. Very nice btw! -Tom
  14. There 80/100w not 100/80w lol (Low beam would be brighter then the high beams) Cool yea post pics when you get them
  15. Truckerman, Hmm blue lights are bad huh, and they absorb into the road and are "NOT LEAGAL" Well tell Mercedes, Lexus, Infinity, BMW, and many others that. These lights shoot out and cover well (Blinding almost) and no, not all these brands run the H.I.D style bulbs. Yes I've seen these ricer punks with their blue lights (Dim, Dull, Don't even shoot a beam at all) These are the blue lights to stay away from. The Nokya artic white 100/120w 4100k are Bright, Illuminate well, and are not $60.... I paid $26 from an online auto parts store. -Tom
  16. Lol thats very true I guess replacing the ties every 10k where you check the belts would also keep them from breaking (Didn't think about that) Hmm, Cast-Aluminum covers? That'd be cool.
  17. Oh thank you for that info, learning something everyday -Tom
  18. Ok found my answer in my Chilton manual, I guess the rear strut bolts just screw into the wheel well (No nut on them) Good easier! =] -Tom
  19. PS: Welcome to the family =]

  20. I dunno, a little packing/Bearing grease works just fine. Zip-ties tend to crack from hot/cold.. Or just spray some deep creep on them from time to time. Mine came off easy when I did all that stuff last july (Had Subaru belts too!) -Tom
  21. GD beat me to answering the carb swap question lol. anyhoo models that run the EA82 are basicly all the same (Few cosmetic changes is about it) Heres a listing of all the model names: GL/DL -1985 to 94 (Veries per country) Loyale - 1990 to 94 (Same as the 85 and up GL) RX - 1985 to 90 (The RX is a Coupe or Sedan styling version of the EA82) Anything 1984 down to I think 76 runs the EA81 (Popular for aircrafts and gyros) -Tom
  22. I have the Nokya artic white 100/120w in mine, 9004s havn't burned out (Had them since '07) work good Look cool too and their under $30 (Online) I also changed my corner lights to a blueish white aswell. -Tom
  23. I see you found your answer, hmmm. I am a little puzzled by not having the longer bolts for the diff. As I am new to lifts aswell I am sorry for being green this subject. btw, can someone post a pic in this thread or in mine of were the axles tend to rub? I've been looking at my axles and I can't see where they could hit (On some installations) -Tom PS: Sorry I can't post a link to my thread, I'm using my PS3 (Firmware doesn't support copy/paste)
  24. JesZek, sorry to hear that aswell I hope you can put enough money together so you can do a lift too! Gloyale, oh thanks for that bit of info Gary, yea I've seen ur thread Hmm has diffrences hey, I'll cheak out the thread good luck on the build though! I'm hoping to do it on july 4th, so we'll see. I'll post what I experience and some pictures aswell. Bratman, I believe the Brats shaft is a bit longer then the EA82s. also IIRC the Brats axles are at a steeper stock angel? btw, in my picture. you see the 4 bolts for the rear plates. are those the same as the bolts in the rear struts? If so, I'm going to go to Ace and buy 4 more so I can just use all new bolts for the rear.. Also how does the stock rear bolts screw in? is there a nut or not? -Tom:cool:
