there is no thermostat at the moment. what was in it before i have no clue.

the head gaskets were done. the car still doesn't over heat. doesnt even reach half. i thought it may of needed burped as well. removing the thermostat was indeed the problem. the coolant was backed up.

Figures ! drove 28 miles out of town car ran great on the way up. but on the way back Smoking like a Crack Head. and i swear the Temp needle did 50mph to HOT ALL THE WAY UP!. luckily uncle Dave went passed and turned back and got us. left the 28 miles away. thermostat out and fluids drained. next morning (this morning) went and got the outback. filled it up with water and i drove it back. stayed on C the whole way back and i ran it hard 60mph most of the way. No smoke and no over heating ! WTF!

3rd of September. and my engine hasn't smoked very much. Dip Stick still sais its Full. Motor Honey is Working. i thought about running straight Motor Honey In my outback never have to change oil again

i repainted my steelies black. I'm gonna put red on them eventually.

Wow car looks great and so does the driver common wheels to put on a subaru ? i wanted to do different and put GT rims on mine and painted them black. wanna put red on but dunno yet. Great Looking Impreza !

OK. the vale cover seals are new and they don't leak. hmm oil separator plate ? i'll have to look that up. I'm fine with motor honey till i get the money to repair all the seals that require engine removal.

well i put Motor Honey in it yesterday. ran it hard today and no smoke :-\ faint smell tho. left over from leaking before is what i think it was. i will report back later if it smokes again

I'm Not Happy with my Outback Right Now. check the oil and it only had a drip on the stick. every where i got smoke roll's from under the car. police stopped and asked if everything was ok. i replied yeah why ?. and he sais your car is smoking. i told him i know it has an oil leak. all he said is get it fixed. (thought to my self) if i knew were and what was leaking. threw in my last qrt of 5w-30 runs $7 a qrt so I'm not happy with my outback what all rear seals and from seals should i replace ?. previous owner said the front cam seal is new. should i fix the engine ? or should i just get a 2.2L ?!

Stock is fine with me. just need clean and clear ones with L.E.D Bulbs

Repainted wiper arms Repainted the Black on the Bumper and fixed the sagging on left side. Headlights look like Shyt Tho :-\

i had one with 300,000 + Miles. it started up and ran like new every time. did allot of traveling that little blue Subaru. (1990 2.2L Legacy) if i have to estimate I'd say the mileage would roll over at least 2X with proper maintenance. i love Subaru and having that blue one made me love them even more.

i just bought the front Seal for $11.99 at local advance auto parts store. wish i would have read that before i left (homer Simpson - doh!)

i have a rust free door. but its a manual Window so i dunno if it'll work for you. -John

i know its leaking upfront. my father said the same thing. it could running back to the exhaust and burning off. I'm gonna get a price check on the front crank seal later today. i hope that is the problem. love the power of the 2.5L

i know its not the valve covers. they are still Bone Dry. i figured engine removal would be required. i just need to know were its leaking exactly so i can find the gaskets for it. i cant fix it right now i have to wait till the weekend. Cleaned up the GT Rims and Repainted them. flat black to Gloss Black. i may ad White or Maybe Red. from this to this other shots :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool:

now I'm on to fixing the oil Leak. my outback is leaking oil out the front and rear. goes onto the exhaust and burns off. a common problem i have heard from many. local wrecking yards and few other people. guy at the gas station said there a seal on the back that needs replaced. i wanna confirm what it is before i spend my Subaru Funds on it. Put Some GT Rims on and my BF Goodrich Tires. these tires are not the greatest they can get me threw maybe 1 more summer. then they will be done (warn out).
