  1. i know this has been discussed here b4 but i cant find it 1998 legacy 200k timing belt snapped while i was driving, didnt hear any big noise or chatter i didnt even know it happened till i looked at the tach what are the chances of no motor damage? i was driving easy at around 35-40 mph

  3. i just had my belts replaced, yes they arew guaranteed for the life of the car, i payed nothing at a subie dealer
  4. it seems to blow hot, with no outside air, but it just seems like a long time compared to other cars to get the drivers compartment warm, oh well maybe its just me?
  5. anyone else notice how long it takes a subie to warm up (inside) takes bout 20 miles to start getting warm, seems like a long time to me?

  7. my CEL comes on with the code for bad gas cap, i reset by disconnecting bat and is fine for bout 200 miles then it comes on again? any ideas? i think i remember reading something bout the gas filler tube, but mine doesnt look that bad?
  8. look on ebay i found 4 oem spkrs for $58 + shippin g & the oem tweeter kit for $28.00
  9. i had the same problem on a 98 legacy wagon. solution? 1 used steering rack - $75. from junkyard, 2. Installation Labor $100. not too bad hope this helps

  14. i made my own reverse harness, hard part was getting the new plug, hadda go to a boneyard, but i did it
  15. should work, i put a 2002 cd changer in my 98 legacy no problem, just use the plug that fits
  16. welp you could do a search on the subject but suffice it to say if your CEL light comes on and you check the codes and it reads knock sensor ummmmm you need one
  17. Sounds to me like you have an airlock in your cooling system, ummm you have to get all the air out of the system
  18. i have a 98 legacy, the lights work UNDER the buttons, but the buttons themselves i dont think illuminate, at least from the outside the buttons seem to be solid and not opaque as to let light shine from the inside out?

  20. i wish i could, they dont show a no. for the forester, any help?
  21. Anyone know if the hatch struts from a 98 Forester will fit a 98 Legacy Wagon?
