  2. you can also repair the old one you have to disassemble it and resolder the spring thing, its a simple thing to do, i did it

  5. drove 2 hrs to marlboro, took car for test, bad tranny! guy wanted 1800 after he drove it said hed let me have it ffor 500 he shouldve known the tranny was bad i wouldnt trust that place.
  6. Kid crossed center line, totalled my 91 Legacy Wagon, Ins. Co. will only give me $1900 for it. just put new tires, radiator & battery in it. Can any of you tell me where to look for another Subaru in North Jersey or vicinity? thats all i can afford and i need to get out of my rental by Friday. Any Help would be appreciated. Mark
  7. i have a 91 legacy steering turns hard then easy both directions even when vehicle is not moving? you think its the steering rack or possibly the dreaded torque bind? thnx

  9. I have a '91 Legacy 185,000 miles has a used engine do you guys think i ought to have my tranny rebuilt or throw a used one in from a yard, i got a price of bout 1300 to rebuild a junk tranny is bout 350 or so + install Thanx for the info in advance
  10. on my '91 Legacy Wagon, its auto up also umm i hadda change switch though, not too hard to do i think its rather that then a relay

  12. i agree, aftermarket harnesses are the way to go i put a 03 6 cd changer in my 91 with no problem

  15. same problem here, i think it might have something to do with weak or broken springs in the internal lock mechanism in the door i tried getting it off but i couldnt thats the only thing i can think of

  17. i need a radio side 14 pin plug for a late model imperza, bought a radio from a '03 wrx and putting it in a '91 legacy i can get the car side adapters but i cant find the radio side any help would be appreciated. Thnx, Mark
  18. i have a '91 legacy looking to buy a changer from a '03 WRX i hope itll mount in factory space on dash, as for the wiring im gonna have to go to a boneyard to get the plug for the radio, buy adapters for my car and get a pinout diagram of the radio and hope everything works out??? heres hoping, Mark
