  1. 98 leg 2.2 auto light goes off after sitting & cooling down sorry forgot to put car info here

  3. welp the good news is.... after looking in the proper light the links were not blown, when i got out of the car i accidently hit the idiot switch (parking lights) drew the batt down to NOTHING quick jump back on the road again, thnx everyone
  4. shut my car off last night 98 Subaru Legacy 2.2 auto, all ok this morning went to start no power, sbf links 3,4,5 all blown changed em changed fusible link still no power nothing, lights etc. any ideas?
  5. 98 legacy, 290,000 miles doesnt leak a drop of oil, checked oil yesterday 1st thing in the morning showed a qt low, added a qt. checked later in the day, qt. over???? i dunno what happened?
  6. I have a '98 legacy auto 2.2 with 265k on it do you guys think i ought to change the tranny filter? and if so, how much of a PITA is it?
  7. if i remember right in my '97 leg the condenser sits behind the radiator you have to remove both then check for leaks and recharge, not a $900 job i dont think condensers run bout $155 id get another quote if i was you http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/search/?Ntt=A%2FC+Condenser

  9. dont do it too long on my '98 the alternator runs off the same belt i dunno why you couldnt do it other than that
  10. i hadda similar problem with my 98 leg it would start then around 2k rpm it would click and die kicked a CEL for the crank sensor then it went away, never to return, guess i lucked out
  11. how do you 'tighten up' the u-joint, looks like a sealed unit on a '98 legacy wagon

  13. i pulled my rad and mustve done something to the melal line coming off the condenser on the pass side at the bottom under the rad. petcock, check there i had to replace the metal line from the condenser to the dryer since then, all ok
  14. theres a clip on the heater box carefully remove the cable from the clip then turn it till you can slip the cable loop off the post on the flapper (on a '98 Legacy that is, dunno what youve got)
