EA82 Front Caliper Removal
I just pushed in the lever, and slid the cable end out. No need to pull on the cable and mess it up. So I got it all done! Works good, and even better after a final bleed. Is there a tool that twists the caliper so ya can compress, or line up to the brake pads? I had to twist it a little bit so the rivet on the outside of the inside brake pad would line through, and allowing for the caliper to slide into place. Other than that, had it done in no time. Ran all the fluid out too!

Yeah everything is in good condition, and all the rubber boots are there. I just sprayed some PB blaster on the sucker, and I'll give it a go in the morn. I'll keep everyone posted!! Thanks again for the responses everyone. USMB rocks.

EA82 Front Caliper Removal
Yeah it's the E-brake cable, unless there is another. Yeah I had the e-brake off, and I tried to grab it with a pliers, but it wouldn't budge! I guess I'll just try using more force, or a vice grip to pull it off. I just didn't want to start trying to pull on it harder if that wasn't the way it's supposed to go. Darn Chilton wasn't much help for my year brakes. Seems it skipped that step. Thanks for the replies fellas.

EA82 Front Caliper Removal
Vehicles: 88 GL wagon disk brakes all around. 87 RX disk brakes all around. I have a leaky front passenger caliper on my RX. Know I know it is probably easier to just rebuild the sucker, but I'd rather just swap out the one from the wagon first being the parts store is over 30 minutes away. Now I got the caliper off the assembly, but I can't figure out how to get the darn cables off for the swap. It's currently hanging down from the car. Do I remove the entire assembly from the caliper, or just release the cable somehow? Thanks in advance for the help.
