Anyone looked into running 4 "spare tire" wheels with different tires? They are 16" rims, just a little skinney. Orion

My "that would be a bad idea thought"..... What if i took an angle grinder and "shaved" off some metal all around the outside of the coil spring. Possibly softer spring? Or could that potentally cause the spring to lose its springeyness?
-
Wait....did you just say rear springs up front?
-
Coil overs + A-Arms= one badass buggy.....one day
-
Dang.....I might have to get creative with other coil springs.
-
What springs should i use to replace the Wagon springs in front of the buggy? Hatch springs? Bratt springs? Any thoughts. It dosent have much front flex......if any at all.
-
Thanks! Here is one more....just got it loaded. I have no idea why my friends camera didnt record the audio. oh well
-
It was very steep. Nothing too exciting. Orion

What is OBS? Could i just put in a switch to go between lock and open if i wanted to?

I had some leftover 4" exhaust pipe. Cut 2 2" sections, and welded....pics are worth a millon words......I also cut 6 2"x1.5" plates and welded for added support for jumping and whatever i throw its way. I had to take off the lower ball joint, slide the strut into top and bottom and compress the spring a little to get the lower ball joint back in place....it was a PITA!!!!!!!! Here are some pics of the struts. the buggyroo looks much better. http://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii295/orionsworld/?action=view¤t=DSCN2750.jpg http://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii295/orionsworld/?action=view¤t=DSCN2745.jpg http://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii295/orionsworld/?action=view¤t=DSCN2746.jpg http://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii295/orionsworld/?action=view¤t=DSCN2749.jpg http://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii295/orionsworld/?action=view¤t=DSCN2748.jpg http://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii295/orionsworld/?action=view¤t=DSCN2712.jpg http://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii295/orionsworld/?action=view¤t=DSCN2715.jpg

I agree there wouldn’t be too much of a benefit. Possibly look like something out of Mad Max and still work in 4x4 would be the perk. I could only imagine the amount of ground clearance back there:headbang: .

Lets go to Bunce School Rd, i was just up there on my ATV, it was fun.

2" looks badass, thanks for the help with this project. ill post some pics as soon as my gf gets back with her camera. the camber is not bad at all, it is ther ebut i can live with it on this toy. oh yeah i also got a 270.00 dollar ticket for operating my street legal liscensed vehicle in an OHV park......so pissed going to get my drink on now. OHV means ATV only i guess...more story to that. Orion

Sweet, maybe he can comment.
-
Sweet ill try to get that done ASAP. Im not too worried about the \ / look, if is that bad ill do something to fix it. O
-
No, i was told 2" on the struts would be ok without dropping the engine. I might have to do the washer spacer trick.
-
Either i had too many beers lastnight when trying to install my 2" lift or im missing something. I cant push the hub down enough to get my 2" longer struts to slide into the top of the spindle/hub. Am i missing something? What am i supposed to do? The axle hits on where the lower control arm connects to the car. Do i need to use a spring compressor? O
-
Actually if you do the math it should be fine. Cross multiply and divide. Ive seen other custom street and lifted trucks do the same thing. Orion

Someone should put a 4.44 rear diff in the rear and run 33" tires in the back and have the 3.9 in the front and 29's. Do that and let me know how it works out. I think it would look pretty sick on the buggy but i dont have a 4.44 rear diff. Orion

If no milkshake do you think im ok? If i took the valve covers off could i tighten down the head bolts? Would that help if it is going bad? -
Water comes out the exhause pipe, a decent amout. Looks like you took a spray bottle and sprayed everything in its exhaust path. Then it stops....kinda. The last 2 times i drove it hard snow bashing it over heated even with it bing 10 degrees out. Are these good signs i might need to replace the head gasket? Thanks Orion

- Left Hand Canyon- Some parts will be very interesting in a subaru. - Apex trail- Know it like the back of my hand. That would be fun. - Jenny Creek Trail-That would be fun too. - Spring Creek. I have heard it is tough, but we can at least go check it out. May/June - Webster Pass. Only if you like gridlock and tons of people. -Boreas Pass. I have a cabin up on Boreas, very easy but moderate trails that shoot off of it. High Altitude and a lot of mine ruins. May/June -Slaughterhouse Gulch- Heard a lot about it and want to try it. April/May? -Wheeler Trail. There are a few places that will be hard to pass in a subaru to actually make it to the lake. I really want to check out slaughterhouse and spring creek. Regardless of what I say im down for whatever.
