Here is a quick update. I scored a new window, some trim, and the small spoiler off a GL10 Sedan at a P&S here in denver. Although the one part i went there for was already broken(rear window trim). I have an ignition in it now and the PCV and Air filter replaced. I bought the aluminum wheels that go on a wagoneer for the car once i conver to 6 lug. Im still waiting to hear about a used 4" AA lift. Im going to modify the lift to correct for the camber in the front. Eventually buy some 27x9 Super Swamper SSR's. the paint is going to be heniken green with "brused aluminum" on the bottom half of the car. The paint is also going to have air brushed rivets to look real.....just cause i can really. Im still debatin on ripping out all the emissions crap.....but i think ill just leave it for ease of selling if i have to. Um i think thats about it for now. OH yeah, i slid the antenna in and out and now the radio no longer works. Whats up with that and how do it fix it?????

Im suprised how many people reccomended me putting a webber on the car. Are they that much better? Maybe i just had good luck with the buggyroo? Here are some of the wheels im looking at, I like the jeep style. I ran the chevy ones on the buggy. I guess i like them both, they will look good with 27x9M/T. Just not sure when ones yet. http://denver.craigslist.org/pts/818182217.html http://denver.craigslist.org/pts/788024001.html

The tires will be 27x9's. And chances are they will stick out a little due to the wheels im going to run.

2" strut top lift in front and drop the X member a little. Then space the rear coils 2", or find longer ones that provide more travel like the air struts i ran on the the rear of the buggy.

A used 4" AA lift and a home brew 2" lift.

For the new to me Sedan, i want to run 27" tires. Should i go with a 4" lift or 2" suspension lift and some fender trimming? Anything i should know about lifting the sedan 4"?

These are the only pics i have so far. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii295/orionsworld/DSCN3189.jpg http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii295/orionsworld/DSCN3190.jpg The plans are, new paint, a lift so i can clear 27" tires, roof rack, some sweet 6 lug rims. Windshield. If any of you have any killer paint ideas let me know. I have a WyoTech Grad just itching to paint it for free. And he is GOOD!!! Subaru Blue, Black, Heineken Green, Metallic gunmetal gray, 2 tone black and flat aircraft aluminum. There are just a few.

WAHOO!!!!!! I finally have my 1987 DR GL Sedan. 550.00 137K Needs a few things here and there but no show stoppers. I drove it back from Frisco to Lafayette with no problems. One thing that had me concerned is that the guy said it burns oil, not big deal, just swap in the motor in my garage. Well this thing was slow, very slow, no power at all and smoked when i was on it going up some very long steep hills. Well once i got home and looked at the air filter it was SOAKED IN OIL. That explains everything. Took it out and it runs like a champ. So what is causing the oil to circulate back into the air box? Ill post some pics soon......then its off to the Off Road Section. Some lift 27" tires fresh paint.... Did i mention the AC BLOWS COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Orion:grin:

Anyone know about the Diff's? Are the autos and standars the same?
-
Ive found a 87 Sedan on CL with a DR already in it about 1hr from here. Salvage title from a wreck, it was originally an Auto now its a DR. Did the autos have the same rear Diff as the ratios as the DR's? Im nervous that the person that did the conversion did a poor job. I have a spare trans and rear diff in my garage so i can change it out. He is asking 1000.00 its tan outside and inside. Im thinking 500 tops. 137K miles, carb, no oil leaks but it burns it slightlly. I have a spare engine too. What do you think? Offer him 500 over the phone and see if he is even intersted before i drive up there?
-
Seeing how i like to post first, read after. It seems to be a fairly easy swap, am i correct in saying this? The D/R is sitting in my garage ready to go. Any suggestions?

How similar is this car to the EA82's? If i found a AWD sedan would it be easy to put a DR in that car? Something similar to this but a sedan, http://denver.craigslist.org/car/758081891.html. This car.....http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/Literature/brochures/1991-i.jpg Ive seen a few 1990 sedans on CL that are AWD and standard I think. What do you think? Orion
