  1. Will WRX or impreza wheels fit on a '90 legacy? What other wheels will fit? I have an opportunity to aquire a 90 legacy (Kinda rare because it is blue which I have never seen..dark blue.. and then it is also a 5 spd which isn't too common. All this in a loaded up car.) So I am thinking of getting it and throwing on different rims to dress it up a bit. Let me know please. Boz
  2. I know of one in a J/Y in Tabernacle NJ. Guy is pricey though and I can't tell you anything about the tank (If it leaks etc...) From what I remember it was in good shape. Email me if interested. Boz
  3. Need someone to send me my username and password for the old gallery http://www.usmb.net/gallery/ I tried and tried with no luck. The new one doesn't work at all for me ever since I put the one picture in it. If I could I would like to stay with the old gallery. Seems that the new one is nothing but trouble for everyone. Please PM me with my username/password. Thank You Please PM me witht the info and if you don't mind could you email me as well. cmakar@hotmail.com Thanks, Boz
  4. I had thought of doing that before but that is alot of money tied up right there. (and time) Came out pretty nice. I do not like the position of the intercooler unless he plans on fabbing up a nice air dam to protect it and is it me or is the dash looking a little old school? Did they have different dashes overseas? I don't think they did, it looks more like a Gen I BRAT dash to me. What's up? Needs ground effects kit to look right. (IMO) Overall, very nice job.
  5. Is this another secretmobile? Or maybe another Subaru fan out there. I would've flagged him down but had the family with me and was headed home (I was tired)
  6. 8 pm near Philly on the PA Turnpike. Black blazer towing a blue and primered BRAT on a tow dolly? Anyone?? Anyone?? I forgot to mention, you have NY plates
  7. Very nice looking BRAT if I must say so myself!!!! Keep it that way! As soon as you get so much as a bubble or scratch or anything, take care of it immediately.
  8. I have a EA82T sedan that the motor has been out of the car for 2-2.5 yrs. What are the chances of the cam's oil seal and O ring being good. (54,000 mile 1 owner car) One side has been replaced due to the engine being partially disassembled, However, the other side was never touched. I personally would guess that they are probably still good, Yes, Better to replace them while the engine is already out of the car but, I need to just get it done. If I really don't need to do it, then I don't want to. I want the car running. I am sick of moving the engine and sick of looking at the car just sit there. Any opinions out there? (Stick to the question) Any helpers out there?
  9. Ahhhh, Pennsylvania, No place nicer! I can't wait to move back. Anyone who thinks they have it bad, try moving to NJ..Enough said
  10. If you need a rear slider for a GenII I have one I will sell you for a reasonable price. Make offer. Don't have the rubber that goes around it. Not sure how much to ship. Let me know. Boz
  11. I've never seen that one before. What ever happened to the lime green BRAT that was lifted? (I always remembered that one as "Slimer")
  12. Is that one of those Kamei spoilers? What brand? What is the availability of more?
  13. Local to me, Looks like it has been sitting there for a year to a year and a half. Rot around rear wheelwells, but fixable, some rot around the rust inhibitor hole plugs in the door jams. Other than that, I really didn't check it out much more. Motor is there in 1 piece. I didn't ask about it but just a guess, I would say for about 150.00 the place would be glad to see it go. If anyone is SERIOUSLY interested or looking, I don't mind going back, but if you are not SERIOUS, please don't make me waste my time. Boz
  14. Man, what's wrong with your medula oblongatas? 1 they are Subarus. 2. someone spent their time/money to upgrade their ride. I think it looks nice. It probably runs great too. Nothing wrong with looking good or running good. What I sense here is extreme jeleousy. If you could own that car and do the same I'd be willing to bet all of my money you would. Don't be a hater because they (Or their parents) can afford to not only buy the car but supe it up as well. Just because it is not 20 years old and rusty with over 200k on the clock doesn't mean it's not cool or it's not a good car. Some cars were made to be lifted while others were made to be lowered. It's the new trend. There are 4 kinds of people. the first kind who lifts their cars, the second kind lowers their cars, the third keeps theirs original and the fourth wishes and talks alot about doing one or all but never does any.
  15. Hey Mac, How's it going down there? Are you looking for seats for your wagon? What year? What color? There are millions of wagons here in the NE that rusted out before the interior even started smelling like farts and were stained by McDonald's french fries. I am sure one of us could help you. Boz (Heck, Moosen's probably stocks every part you need) Ha Ha Ha Did you guys ever see that commercial for the " Wendy's Unofficial Spokesperson" Paul is the "Subaru Unofficial Spokesperson"
  16. I've actually heard that armor all dries up a dash after a while. I don't use it just because I don't like it. I have always used Black Magic. It is really thick and oily and protects extremely well. The dash in my old BRAT is still nice and soft just like new. Besides, Armor all dries up after a day. Black Magic lasts at least 3 weeks in between coatings. It IS the SH*T! Trust me! As for the marine products, it sounds like they may be good too because the boats do get alot of sun so I would think that they would work great but I cannot stress enough. BLACK MAGIC is the absolute best stuff I have EVER seen!
  17. Hey, Maybe it has something to do with him buying a new house and all. You guys did know that right? It wasn't one of the USMB secrets was it? Yeah, He bought a house, a WAREhouse for his subaru collection, J/K
  18. Yeah, New Jersey sucks big time. I prefer to pump my own gas but when I moved here to NJ it took a while to get used to. I don't like it though. Their reason for this is because of the EPA. Too many people were topping off their tanks and having overspill. EPA jumped on that one. It pisses me off because just like my old BRAT, I can still put anywhere from 1 dollar to 1 dollar and fifty cents to top it off. They refuse to do that. As for price, New Jersey is supposed to be one of the cheaper states since the gas comes in through the ports of Newark but New Jersey being the ripoff state that it is, still jacks it up. As for the shifter kart, It sounds awesome. I can't wait to see the finished product. You should have told me you were coming to the garbage state. I just missed Paul, because I had stuff to do. Is it safe to assume that you also went camping??Ha Ha Ha Boz
  19. Yeah, what about us on the EAST COAST???? We won't be coming to WCSS so do we get a preview or the ****ty end of the Subaru stick? (AGAIN)
  20. I wouldn't mess with the body at all. I am with Tim, Keep it as original as you can but I don't see any problem with tweaking the engine. Makes no difference there. (Just like muscle cars etc. As long as the #'s match they do whatever to the internals of the engine and it is still worth the $. Subaru's (Well, at least the older ones like a BRAT) don't have matching #'s so no one would know the difference if you swapped the engines.) I am laughing as I read this post because most of the info people are throwing your way does NOT improve HP. It may make it a little more peppy but nothing to BRAG about. If you want real difference you need to get better cams, open up the intake, open up the exhaust and change the route of the exhaust pipe so that the Y comes in at (2) 45 degree angles so the flow is smoother unless you go with true duals. These are the first three things you should do. There are many ways to got what you are looking for. Those three will make the biggest difference. From there, there are alot of other "little things" that you could do, such as changing the coil, advancing the timing, drilling holes in the airbox (I wouldn't do that, make yourself a custom air intake with a K and N filter, they do work good. Drilling holes does improve the amount of air but it also improves the amount of dirt) Install a cooler thermostat. Not only will you run cooler but you will see a little more pep there too. 170 degrees is the lowest recommended by the EA performance page but I have gone to 160 with zero problems. (Depends on how many feet above sea level you are) Get better plug wires ( I believe 8.8mm are the best we can get for our Subarus). It all depends on how much work you want to do. You could probably fab up some underdrive pulleys. do the MS DIS mod that Shadow is working on, bore it stroke it, regrind your valve seats, use lighter parts (can be obtained from PAECO for a large price) .....Man, there is sooooo much you can do, just depends on how much work you want to do and how much you want to spend. There are many more modifications you could make other than what I have listed, but like I said, best bang for the buck and quickest for improvement would be cams, intake, exhaust. Boz
  21. Wow, At least she got a good clutch out of the deal. If it works in 4wd and not in 2wd that (Hubs/axles) would be the first thing to check. Stripped hubs is very common on a Subaru. I have seen it quite a few times, even with the correct torque. Just crappy design/engineering or something. The hubs should be a little harder metal. So, did she get down and dirty with you? (Greasy hands and such) If so, did you snap some pics? Always good to see the females gettin dirty too (Especially the HOT ones)
  22. So it doesn't vibrate while in park or at highway speed? Are you sure it's the trans and not the driveshaft out of balance or even a wheel out of balance? Harmonic balancer (Is it the engine?) Maybe a bad axle? (I had one that shook the front end until I built up speed)
  23. Just wanted to post this website of a place that carries rust repair parts. Most have seen this but some haven't (I was cleaning out my email, can you believe I still had this in my inbox from like 3 yrs ago) http://65.54.187.250/cgi-bin/linkrd?_lang=EN&lah=c3fd5ec384c4f01fc8069f61e9d7bb05&lat=1093055065&hm___action=http%3a%2f%2fwww%2erustrepair%2ecom%2frustpdf%2ehtml
