  1. Let us know how these go if you would. I just did the same lift to my 91 with 185k on it also, hoping not to have the same axle issues myself.
  2. Yes I was time since my old rear struts had 185k on them! I used my 91 springs and outback struts front and rear. The swap was really easy, and I was even able to get the factory sway bars back in place.
  3. Those are very cool looking sedans for sure. Be weary of the 2.5, see if the HG have been updated if not offer them 2000 off the price because they will blow, it is not a matter of if but when.
  4. I have used the EBAY kits and the water pump was same manufacture as Subaru oem same with the upgraded timing belt.
  5. Well I got my lift all installed and tested this last week. Pic Here is a picture of it with outback rims and 205/70 15. The ride is great, I did replace the original rear struts that were totally blown. This was a pretty easy install, and I used my old springs. I was able to get everything back on even the front rear sway bars.
  6. I am really looking for a good all around performer. I don't want to have two sets of tires for winter summer. I will take a loud tire that does great in dirt and snow. Any ideas how this does in snow-mud-dirt?
  7. Yea that is what made me look at them also I can get a set of 205/70 15 for $250 from tire rack including shipping. I was going to get a set of Geolandar A/T-S but they cost $25 more per tire. Anyone else have any thoughts on these tires?
  8. Anyone know anything about these tires? I am looking for some new tires and these are cheap and look great. -R
  9. I might evenlty do a dual range swap but remember I ahve a manual so I don't have a TCU.
  10. Great, thanks for the help on this. If it is easier you can just email it to me at r.eddy@yahoo.com or pm me.
  11. Thanks! So I was able to correct the Speedo in my Jeep CJ years ago when I put on 35 inch tires and lifted it with different speedo sprockets in the tranny. Is there anything like this for a roo?
  12. So after way too much travel for work out of the country next week I will be putting in my outback lift/wheels & tires on my 91 LS wagon. So in regards to calibrating my speedo I have seen this Kit does mentioned before for correcting the speedo. Do 91 Legacy's have electronic speedos? Any write ups on installing this or other correction kits?
  13. Great, thanks for the input. I think I will try a hybrid approach & do the 800/1500 wet sanding then use the Meguiar's and some type of buffing wheel.
  14. So the pull is save in Aurora CO has like 2 1st generation legacies each time I go. Is there a better place in Denver metro or the Springs? I live in Castle Rock so I am in the middle of both of these. Thanks
  15. Thanks for the input, I have done this to about 5 of my roos. I am looking for a good cheap place to get the part, I have a junkyard a bit away from me but don't want to drive all the way there to find out the ones they have are bad or worse the don't have any.
  16. I know is common problem with 1st generations roos. My question is where is the best place (cheapest) to get a replacement lock cylinder? I was going to grab a junkyard one but would rather just do this once since I am doing this for my brother. Thanks
  17. Will 97 outback legacy seats bolt right into my 91 legacy? I am pretty sure the fronts will bolt right in, what about the rears seats?
  18. Thanks for the info I will go with this if I don't hear any thing contrary.
  19. Will seats out of a 01 Imprezza direct bolt into a 91 Subaru legacy? Thanks
  20. Anyone have an account? I am looking at a 2002, vin 4S3BH675826617961 Can soneone run at email to r.eddy@yahoo.com
