So we have learned always have a bicycle strapped to the roof of your subaru to either raid for parts, or to use as an escape pod if your subaru breaks down. Good Tip. Don't forget to have a pair of roller blades strapped to the bicycle in case it also breaks down and leaves you stranded.

I have the same issue, I turned the mix screw to lean it out as much as i could. it barely idles but it reduced the back back fire from Bazooka caliber bombs. to mere BB gun caliber pops. I will have to live with it until I pony up the cash for a webber.

so both FRAM and PUROLATOR list multiple filters to fit gen 1,2, and 3 subarus, and they are all cross refererenced to each other . So is using a gen 1 filter on a gen 3 motor a big deal, or does it not matter? Example FRAM lists PH2825, PH2807A , PH3682, and PH4746 as all applicable for any gen 1, 2 or 3 motor.
