  1. Looking for a way to secure this style center cap. The axle ends have holes but are not threaded ???
  2. How do you know it is toast, symptoms?
  3. I would ask why the thermostat housing is bad on the 1.8, there is a reason it was messed with and all roads lead to overheating. Subaru motors are not very forgiving after they overheat.
  4. Now thats some quality disco/xanadu stripes, classic 70's pimpin.
  5. Somebody needs to bust this beauty out of jail.
  6. Thought I would re-start this thread, these pics were taken in Seattle WA this past January. No idea where the location is or if the car is still there, happy searching and rescuing.
  7. I always put cinder blocks under the frame rails before I stick my head under a car. There are some pretty cheapo jack stands out there, I wouldn't trust them.
  8. Well I chocked the front wheel, Put it in 1st gear, Fully depressed the clutch (jammed it open held by a broom handle in the drivers seat area) and put a ratchet on the crank shaft pully bolt and tried to break the disk off of the flywheel. No luck So I guess my next option is 1. spray a bunch of PB blaster in the starter hole, let in soak in overnight and try again. OR 2. put the starter back in and try starting it in gear with the clutch depressed to see if that will break it free. Any other ideas?
  9. And the hitch strength test.
  10. http://home.comcast.net/~davidtief/hitch.html Neat write up of instaling a hitch
