  1. Well i got sick sunday and went to work monday anyways and got even worse too sick to turn wrenches too. so im stuck at home with no PB blaster or wd40 for loosening turbo bolts. but before taking the turbo apart i need to know what not to do, i know that i dont want the turbines to seperate. guess ill try the handy dandy search function lol
  2. Doeh! lol i should know this after owning a 97 eclipse gst that was only oil cooled, it requires a turbo timer that times the ignition to stay on for X amount of time = to the last temp reading from the block, thus saving the turbo from cooking! just had to change the light bulb over my head:grin: Thanx for reminding me lol
  3. Shiny. Here is what the original IHI turbo looks like compared to the air research .48, IHI on the left and .48 on the right sorry for the sloppy pics but all i own is my cell phone camera Here you can see how i plumbed the valve breather to a tiny air breather that is a "mini me" of the actual cone airfilter that is going on:banana:
  4. :slobber: OMG! which dealership was that again? *as i run out and smash my car to little pieces*
  5. The gauge pod was from ebay, it fits 2.16 in gauges and is only painted to look like carbon fiber lol. it does kinda block the trip computer but id rather have the gauges there instead of on the pillar steve thats a good question, idk if i should clock it 90'. it seems to make sense to do it that way. DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW IF IT WOULD BE WISE TO ROTATE THE BEARING PART SO THE RETURN IS POINTING DOWN? I dont plan on pushing alot of boost, 12 at the most, maybe it will work? it will still be a while before it gets close to being started though so no rush on the answer. Twitch, TURBO BRAT WOULD LOTS OF FUN! LOL:lol: P.S. I got a DIY intercooler kit plus sequential bov, its almost all there just gonna cut two to get it to go through the fender well not over it lol
  6. Thanks for the info Ya the speaker was installed but i had to rewire my new dvd player in the dash and decided to go with some smaller speakers lol. Bit by bit its getting done:banana:
  7. Also what do you guys think of the new seats i put in last weekend?
  8. workin on 86 ea82t with 42/48 garret, audi ewg, 2.25 uppipe. Its a silly question but i forgot where the oil return line goes. I took a picture and labled the lines i have. could you guys tell me if it is correct? I tried searching all afternoon and have found only a description of the turbo oil and coolant lines of where they run to the head.
  9. <br><br> THIS MUST BE THE MOST POPULAR GRAPHIC LOL! its not copying if its a different color scheme plus i started mine last fall lol. Your wagon will/does look awesome lol i like it:lol:
  10. I need room for the intercooler pipe to go through the fender wall. just like suberdave did, cept im runnin an ea82t:) I guess i could move the charcol can below and see if that makes enough room. lol not sure if its a big deal but i have the 1986 gl-10 ea82t, but im pretty sure its the same engine as xt
  11. Im considering this for saving space in the engine bay. Subiemech, these trouble codes out of which book? Im sorry if it insults you that i dont think you recalled those numbers from memory:lol: thanks for the numbers
  12. This is an awesome thread:banana: My first off road driving in a subaru, I really licked it too:lol: lmao... (liked it-licked it) Unaware of the camera lol And just me
  13. Ive been very curious as to what the flapper maf sends to the ecu in volts? And has anyone tried a hotwire with that same volt? Ive searched "flapper Maf" and no one has posted about it, if it has been accomplished. are there other readings that the ecu gets from a flapper that a hotwire doesnt have? p.s. i dont have a volt meter
  14. Ya that looks cool thanx for sharing it.
  15. IM selling the first car i ever owned. I had it running 2 years ago but had a bad experience with low life mechanic. just never had time to get back to it. here is a link. ill be posting more pics if i get many people interested. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=93380

  18. I like the full custom gauges idea. but i like this setup with carbon fiber gauges too. I understand the budget dilema, im a paycheck to paycheck kinda guy. So are you going to dress up the digi dash or analog? if budget wasnt a problem id like to use one of these:
