  1. You only call it ghetto cus you wish you thought of it first lol jk. im just goin the route I can afford and how come the factory didn't have a gasket between the internal wastegate and turbo? any one ELSE know of this?
  2. Well im not working all this week if you got some free time come by, im sure i could find something that needs wrenching lol On a side note has anyone tried the COPPER RTV GASKET MAKER ON THE TURBO TO DOWNPIPE SURFACE? Ive heard good and bad reviews on other sites but i trust usmb to have more knowledge of Subaru compatibility
  3. hey im almost done :D ive been postin pics in this thread http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=98034

tryin to finish by this weekend.

  4. Oh man im so close i can smell the carbon :D

  5. On my 86 gl-10 sedan with ea82t im having trouble routing a hose from the AAC valve to the intake. the reason is i have a custom turbo setup and rotated the original intake so instead of meeting the turbo pointing down it now points back to the fire wall. stock location for the intake allows the hose to just run straight at the AAC, but rotating it made it point down. anyways my question is can i plug the hose inlet on the intake and just vent the AAC valve to open air? Or i could do it right and plug and retap a new inlet on the intake? input would be great since im trying to finish this car this week
  6. Did some minor body work today plus washed and shined the tires plus bumpers. I did more work after i took these pictures. I scraped all the small pin stripes off both sides and took the glue off with thinner. plus the black trim right behind the front bumper is no longer there. After i get the rest of the black urethane off the body ill start prepping for paint, well after its running ofcourse lol.
  7. IS THIS B.O.V. TOO BIG? IT IS A REALLY TIGHT SQUEEZE UNDER THE HOOD BUT IT FITS
  8. Has anyone heard anything more about wes200x and the diagram? looks like a good investment if you are running a modded ea82t:slobber:
  9. THIS TOOK A FEW HOURS IN JUST REGULAR PAINT PROGRAM. ALL I DID WAS ADD A BODY KIT AND REVERSE SCOOP AND SPOILER. HOPE YOU GUYS LIKE THE ROUGH DRAFT
  10. MY boss just used a roll on kind inside a flat panel jeep. i think he bought it by the quart and just brushed it on. I 3rd on the prep work:) the better the prep the better it looks and holds up. i did all the prep on my 69 opel and the paint still looks new and its over 7 years old! Prep, prep, ...and prep again all on an XT? Ive never seen it personally but sounds cool and practical for an offroad machine:)
  11. HERE COME THE PICS! ENJOY I HAVE PLANS OF ADDING A STI SPOILER AND MAKING A CUSTOM INVERTED SCOOP, AND POSSIBLY LOWERING IT AN INCH- INCH 1/2, PLUS A CUSTOM FRONT AIR DAM, BUMPER:lol: I THINK ILL SPEND SOME TIME ON THE COMPUTER TODAY AND PHOTOSHOP THIS AND GET A QUICK PREVIEW OF THE THINGS TO COME
  12. Are you being serious? if thats true then no one would ever complain about my 'quiet' subaru:grin: Loyale2.7 turbo the seats are from the company J.C. Whittney, the brand is APC and they generaly cost around 250. my dad gave his buddy a roof rack for his jeep as a gift and his buddy turned around and gave him these seats! lol then i did some work on an integra for my dad's job, he does autobody repair at a cadillac dealer, and he gave me the seats plus is helping with some intercooler pipe welding so they are actually out of a 1989 honda civic hatch that my friend crashed 4 years ago and totaled, which i was in at the time, who in turn sold them to my dads buddy:lol: As for more pics i think ive posted some before but ill upload some more on photobucket to share here Thanks everyone for the awesome replies and encouragement
  13. i can reach it just fine but the socket wont slip down on it far enough to reach the nut. it fits all the others. maybe if i try puting the socket on before threading it in by hand. ill try that lol
  14. IM BETTER! LOL. kk im soaking the bolts now. the wastegate will dump to the atmosphere for now, it will probably be too loud for a while lol. but i ran into a problem with spark plug, started thread for the problem.
  15. So i ran a search for "spark plug" and just got way too many results, then tried to narrow it to "broken" and couldnt find any. Here is my problem: The sparkplug in the driverside rear is too close to the intake to get the socket on it. i tried squeezing it on but just ended up breaking the plug. i dont see how anyone got the plug on it before if it is cross threaded. i can get it finger tight but its just too tight for a socket. again this is the plug closest to the disty. any one run into this problem before?:-\
  16. Napa sells some high heat hose for 250 degrees max, im using that... but maybe ill wrap it up with some extra exhaust wrap i have left over from the up/down pipes:grin:
  17. Well i got sick sunday and went to work monday anyways and got even worse too sick to turn wrenches too. so im stuck at home with no PB blaster or wd40 for loosening turbo bolts. but before taking the turbo apart i need to know what not to do, i know that i dont want the turbines to seperate. guess ill try the handy dandy search function lol
  18. Doeh! lol i should know this after owning a 97 eclipse gst that was only oil cooled, it requires a turbo timer that times the ignition to stay on for X amount of time = to the last temp reading from the block, thus saving the turbo from cooking! just had to change the light bulb over my head:grin: Thanx for reminding me lol
  19. You implying yotas are comparable to the ruggednessawesomenessgoodness that is SUBARU?

    LOL jk :P

  20. LOL i couldnt help myself lol i had to check before assembly hehe :D

  21. Shiny. Here is what the original IHI turbo looks like compared to the air research .48, IHI on the left and .48 on the right sorry for the sloppy pics but all i own is my cell phone camera Here you can see how i plumbed the valve breather to a tiny air breather that is a "mini me" of the actual cone airfilter that is going on:banana:
  22. :slobber: OMG! which dealership was that again? *as i run out and smash my car to little pieces*
  23. i didnt work on my car when i got home lol just reposting that question trying to get an answer about my car.
