  1. No do not file the caliper, if you wanted to run them temporary that would be one thing, nut these won't work for a permanent solution because when you replace your front pads, you'll be s$%t out of luck!
  2. We have been getting snow all winter! We have no room for any more, we got about 10" of fresh snow on the ground right now and it's still snowing. I broke the cable on the four wheeler plow twice this morning so far, my wife's car has a new crack across the windshield and my alternator died in mt RS so I have to jump it to move it to plow. I'm done with winter!!! I will try to post some pics later. Sorry for the rant
  3. They will fit!!!! Just not with new pads. If you have new pads they will hit the brake caliper
  4. yes make sure you have a dual range tranny! And let's see some pics of your rig!!
  5. I can't remember how much they hit with new pads. but I know they do. I have run them before though and as long as your pads are at half life they fit fine
  6. depends on the wheel but usually no. They might fit if your brake pads are not new. If you have new pads the wheels will hit the brake calipers
  7. yeah that's not a bad idea! Nice car man!
  8. Very nice!! Looks real clean, real good for 200!! So hows it run? I know you had to do some tranny work.
  9. I haven't gotten it yet. My friend brought one to me tonight and it was the wrong plug,
  10. You need to find some Puegeot wheels. They will allow you to use bigger tires. You could also do the 6 lug conversion. Is it a 5spd?
  11. It's here!! I will try to post pics tomorrow. It's supposed to be snowing really hard tomorrow so we will see, but as soon as I can I will!
  12. Yeah I checked all the rest and it's a known good battery(Optima) so it's got to be the alt
  13. Thank you, I will call my parts guy tomorrow and see if he knows anything.
  14. AFAIK they are not viciously coupled. It's all gears. I have never heard of one losing 4WD, I have heard of gears not working and I had one that reverse died, but never broken 4WD. Hmmmm, I dunno? Maybe the linkage broke and it looks like you're in 4WD? That's weird! Hopefully someone else chimes in! Good luck!
  15. Yeah I would be all for doing that but have never heard of anyplace like that around here
  16. It isn't a cracked head. And yes, if the headgaskets were not properly installed according to the above torque sequence than they can fail very quickly. If you have them redone, it would be a good idea to make sure the heads are nice and straight
  17. I found an almost used one for 65 bucks. I think that's a good deal. A friend of mine has it
  18. :lol:That's awesome! And I thought my dog made a mess of the interior!
  19. Oh cool, I just saw the pretty color and had to ask! Looks good man!!
  20. Well I know most people would say not to use anything like that in your motor, but hey, I understand the money situation and if you're gonna get your money back if it doesn't work, I say why not! Hopefully it works, but even if it does, I will warn you, it won't last for long. You will still have to do the HG's or get rid of the car, no matter what. Good luck!
  21. There might be some people on Mainelysubarus that would help you install them yourself. I know that a few people have done that on there. Worth a try
  22. yeah sounds like the Hg's to me:-\ Sorry! You can pick the parts up for under 300 bucks or so, and then you have to find someone who will do them for you. Or you could get rid of the car....all options require money......unfortunately
