1-3-2-4 replied to 1-3-2-4's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI know but the way they worded it had me just order it from another dealer much closer to me.- Fuel rail O-ring part #
1-3-2-4 replied to 1-3-2-4's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXugh none of it was in stock including the PCV hose.. I asked Subaru parts for you if they had it but they said no.. being as I place orders from them a lot the way they worded in the email was like they did not want to deal with placing the order so I ended up just ordering it from a dealer that's about 30 miles closer.. Yeah that's right I drove 30 miles one way to give this business.. Hopefully this is not going to be something common.- Fuel rail O-ring part #

1-3-2-4 replied to 1-3-2-4's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThat can't be right.. because it's saying I need 3 of them but the way it shows it in the picture it's just not right, the O-ring for the FPR is on the pipe it's self and a smaller diameter. I'm seeing 16699AA000 for the FPR O-ring for the connection to the fuel rail.- Fuel rail O-ring part #

I took my fuel rails off to clean my IM and all.. anyways I have the part numbers for the 3 little small O-rings and so on.. but on the rail is a larger O-ring that I can't find listed on opposed forces I wonder if anyone knows?- coolant bolt snapped in block
1-3-2-4 replied to 1-3-2-4's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI've got some saying I should use a timesert and here saying helicoil :-/ the bolt length is around 68 mm.- 97 outback
Man I keep forgetting to update here lol, a bit has happened.. over late summer I got bad rod knock, pretty much everything was fine until I got off the ramp and clutched in and the car stalled.. fast forward 3 months later I'm still down due to weather and needing a friend to help me go grab a engine.. So I got the engine (EJ22) in which has 192K on it but since I was doing a turbo project next year I started doing a bit of small things, I will be using the Cometic gaskets as I will be bolting my EJ25D heads to the EJ22 they are the only gaskets that have the correct coolant ports. I will be sending my injectors out to be cleaned and flow tested.. meanwhile I sand blasted the coolant crossover pipe and used my leftover powder I have from my wheels and I sand blasted the intake manifold and used the color hotsy red winkle finish for the color. also sand blasted the battery hold down and powder coated that as well, and replaced both engine mounts. Things went smooth until the stupid coolant bolt snapped when screwing in.. by the time I knew something was wrong and tried to back out it just snapped This time I will be using a oil pressure sensor this time around. OH! and I replaced the stock shifter, I still have the shifter from my 95 Legacy which got totaled and the shifter from the Outback.. I ended up getting a shifter from a '05 WRX I just need to replace the shift boot next, which I will do at a later date when it warms up a bit more.. I sure do miss my car- What Have You Done to your Soobie lately? (Please post in here and keep it going)

1-3-2-4 replied to 1-3-2-4's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXYeah I have a bolt size template finally became useful.. I agree so far M6 x 1.00 However it seems no helicoil fine threaded inserts for this size? I've already tried vice grips heat and oil.. and like I said before I have a wielder but seeing as this is the motor I'm working on to replace my blown EJ25.. Unless I can carry a long block EJ22 about 2 miles it's going to be impossible to doing wielding in a parking lot. I'm just going to drill it out in the morning.- coolant bolt snapped in block

1-3-2-4 replied to 1-3-2-4's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXAnyone know the size of the bolts? Why not just put a stud in that area so it wont happen again?- coolant bolt snapped in block
1-3-2-4 replied to 1-3-2-4's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThe heads are getting switched out so no worry about that.. besides all valves are closed. Will vice grips really work? I assume the threads are mangled?- coolant bolt snapped in block

How do you remove it? Funny thing was I made sure it was not cross threaded but it started binding up well before it made contact with the pipe.- 97 Legacy Outback - Check engine light, speedometer, mileage and trip don't work
1-3-2-4 replied to DavieGravy's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXthe ECU uses the VSS without it the car rev limit is around 4K it would stuck if it's really stripping so be limited to 4K- 2011 Tribeca 130amp ALT. retrofit into 95' Legacy
1-3-2-4 replied to Bushwick's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXWhat size wires does the stock Subaru have for wires from the battery to the alt? I just picked up 20' of wielding wire 4 gauge to re-do my battery cables on my car, but my sound system will be simple.. a single sub and single amp for door speakers.. I don't plan on going anything over 500W.. may not be 400W.- 97 Legacy Outback - Check engine light, speedometer, mileage and trip don't work

I will be doing the PS and Alt pulleys next but in red.- Need to fix a cracked timing cover
1-3-2-4 replied to coclimber's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI had the bolt from the TB tensioner loosen up and fall down on the belt, ended up shattering the driver side cover on the DHOC cover.. could of been worst I hated running it without the cover since each time I filled with oil I always would have to put a rag down so it wont drip. I guy on RS 2.5 when I went to pick up some new heads he just threw in all new belt covers and a set of cam wheels for no extra charge, which was great since one of mine got chipped.- 97 Legacy Outback - Check engine light, speedometer, mileage and trip don't work
