  1. When I do get my exhaust I wonder who I can take it to.. I have this one place in mind but a little unsure.. for one thing the shop is in a so-so part of the city and I don't want them chopping up the catback. http://www.insiderpages.com/b/3712052722/yankee-discount-muffler-bridgeport http://maps.google.com/maps?oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&q=1290+Boston+Ave+++Bridgeport,+CT++06610&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=1290+Boston+Ave,+Bridgeport,+Fairfield,+Connecticut+06610&gl=us&ei=1zkJTIj6E8X6lwezu-2JDw&ved=0CBQQ8gEwAA&ll=41.193317,-73.169975&spn=0.012401,0.033023&t=h&z=16&layer=c&cbll=41.193319,-73.170099&panoid=3038PmSiTzlCViVOIqbiHw&cbp=12,180.45,,0,5
  2. Here are some newer pics and without cars a foot away from my body doing 30... Not too bad it seems for rust.. but man those bushings..
  3. I should loosen my catback to get an idea of how loud it would be when I put the magnaflow on.
  4. haha no, no the 16" spare is when I get the 4 new wheels and 4 new tires all 16" the 14" I have now will just get winter thread the stock spare is 14" and it's a small one. The good thing about it is it's hardly ever been used.
  5. maybe I missed it but did you paint the hood flat black?
  6. the thing about the wheels is I'm looking for '02 wrx wheels which seems no one has them right now so I might have to go the expensive way of buying them for like $90 a wheel :-/ I already got a brand new 16" spare ready.
  7. I will go outside and hit it with some PB blaster in a few and I will check about this pinch bolt. I'm confused is it the bolt that can break or the area you have to pry open?
  8. When you drain drain all the fluid out check the drain plug and clean the plug off of metal shavings (it has a magnet on it to catch metals) once that is done replace the plug and fill the transmission up with GL-5 fluid to what's listed in the manual.. Also make sure the car is on level ground. As for driving the car after the fluid change I went right on the highway came back home and checked to make sure I had no leaks.
  9. Here is my car on a Dyno Borla replicas and a Subaru Bosal 2.5GT catback. As you see it's not that loud.. And yes my car is iffy getting into 3rd because the shifter knuckle is worn.. If you move it into gear like any other manual you will get this 95% of the time.. The key is to let it glide in check out that bouncing at 6:30
  10. hmm I forgot about the pinch bolt I will give it a shot of PB blaster but would a impact help for it? i hope the rockauto order will ship from someplace that's not too far. I can pick up a pickle fork local will feel nice to have a tighter steering again and yes I do know I need a alignment.. good thing I'm not yet running on my 16's yet but still on the stock 14's
  11. A little update now that the weather is getting warmer.. having the car on the ground I decided to try to tug the driver's side tie rod back and forth take's a bit of effort but you can hear the clunk sound. I think I will have everything.. Inner & outer tie rods and lower ball joint & rubber boot covers Only thing I cant figure out from picture is when I remove the lower ball joint do I need to support the steering knuckle in any way?
  12. Whenever I have the time and extra cash laying around I want to try building up a motor for a turbo I would be using a 2nd motor so I wont be without an engine if something goes crazy
  13. I think I've only seen 2 93 imprezas before. The headlights and taillight as well as the foglights are all from the JDM legacy i have HID's installed after I corrected the RHD projectors to LHD. The high beams are pretty much useless now.
  14. haha thanks it was pitch dark and I had to use my flashlight in order to see where to focus on the car. it's a 30 sec exposure.
  15. I was not going to reinstall them but put lowering springs on I had a impreza with a AT which was also a 95 1.8L and near the 3 year mark the bands started to slip and I could no longer back up any more.. Not worth the rebuild cost for a FWD tranny so I got rid of the car..
  16. MT no more AT Subaru's for me The only work I've done so far was replace the radiator and water pump along with doing the timing belt and knock sensor. Going to order the GR'2s in the morning I think my last tire rotation really caused the rear struts to leak whatever oil they had left in them. my only concern is removing the springs because they are so old I know they had a voluntary recall over the springs and rust in salt states which this car has seen enough of.
  17. I picked up the car a year and 3 months ago with 195,065 on it right now I have 222,376 on the car.
  18. Let me know how are they only thing fel-pro I have now waiting to be installed is the rear main seal.
  19. I checked the batt terminals on Monday as I washed the car I don't think the alternator is the original.
  20. I will chime in however I'm late... i brought the speedy racer headers from ebay for my 95 Legacy they fit fine and I did not have to do any pulling or bending. I never got any CEL code from the headers and they have been on for a good 7 months now. No cracking... I upgraded from the stock 95 exhaust to a stock 2.5GT borla a little more rumble but still not loud enough for me so I will be offloading it soon. *edit* DO NOT USE THE HEADER GASKETS THAT COME WITH IT!!! Trust me on this.. I cheeped out because i forgot to pick some up on the way home.. the gasket lasted not longer then about an hour...
