jh2rc3804sm302138 comes up no good,PA DMV issued a junk title on it and a not actual millage on the odometer. Both of those were issued on 12/19/03.

Clean carfax 3 owners total one in NJ two in CA, it says there is an open recall with somehting about front coil spring so you may want to check to see if that has anything to do with it. Carfax won't tell you about minor accidents but anything bad enough to total it would have showed up.

yeah i like the looks of the Impreza better but the Forester seems a bit more useful cunsidering the amount of stuff i often haul around, my biggest concern is the head gasket problem i hear about with the 2.5l motor on the forester and this is a very early 98 forester built in spet. 97. On the otherhand the impreza has the 2.2 which from what i read seems exelent but it does have high millage. the imprezas millage is almost all highway though. So it seems about equal to me. i dunno.....

Wondering if anyone can let me know what they would do... Been looking for a new subaru its come down to a 98 forester Auto with 47,000 miles for $9,600 or an Impreza 5 speed with 87,000 miles for $6,500 the forester is at a dealer so no records and the Impreza is a private party with all maintenance records for it and they look good. They seem pretty equal to me, I like the looks on the impreza better but I want to keep this car FOREVER so I don't want to chose on looks over practicality, let me know what you think, and or any things to look out for with either of these cars.

anyone tried useing one of these on a transmission? raditor maybe....anything else to use it on?

mine used to do the same thing, i used to carry loads of about 1200 lbs of gravel around(this probably wasn't to bight) It would make the sound you describe while i was driving with it and for about 50 miles afterwards. its been over a year and a half since i've carried that much and it hasn't made the sound since and is running just fine so i wouldn't worry to much about it unless it gets a lot worse.

May want to check the blower motor resisters also, i would think it would run on high even if they were all dead but may want to check it out. Its a small box like thing in the vent just below the motor with three blue(i think...i'm color blind) wiers coming out of it. that would cause the blower problem, i have no idea about the compressor probably 2 seperat problems especialy if the heat doesn't work.
