  1. just got a message from you "what are you asking for them? were are you located?" i have no idea what your asking...

  2. the EA would not bolt upto the EJ trans. it would be to deep. you can go the other way around EJ onto EA, with an adapter plate, due to the fact that you need the extra distance between the engine and trans. but not the other way around.
  3. im assumeing front? i beleave its a 36mm i use a 1 7/16 its a little big, but it works.
  4. I have done 5+ hydro conversons. But i have always swaped an EJ turbo engine and the EJ trany at the same time. The pedal box from a WRX will bolt right in, bolts to the back of the brake booster. You have to drill 3 holes in the fire wall, two for bolts and one for the clutch master to stick through. at that point you just have to connect the slave to the trany and blead the line. Ok so i know its a little more work than that but its an easy day job for most. I was running an EJ 5 speed, and i now have an EJ 6 speed in my 88 GL-10...
  5. Not trying to be mean... but why? What are your goals in doing this? What is wrong with the cable clutch? you can runn a plenty strong enough clutch with a cable...
  6. so are you trying to put a hydro clutch setup on an EA trany, or are you putting an EJ hydro clutch in your EA car?
  7. according to their websight none of those 3 have been taken...
  8. many people have lowered GL's few different ways to do it. you can buy cheep Ebay adjustable coilover sleeves and springs. i did this once, the ride was vary stiff but it looked cool... if you search subaru_styles did a thread on lowering: Here http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=51023 and here http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=31804 or if you want the best results you can do what i did, i put Tein Flex coilovers: Found Here http://www.suberdave.com/subaru/Leone/flex/index.htm good luck...
  9. i have all the paper work made up. just have to take it down to the DMV choices: #1 SUBRDAV #2 88GLSTI #3 GL STI
  10. good to see you back on this side of the internet... hope to see you at WCSS...
  11. so far im prety sure i will be getting a plate that says "SUBRDAV" that has always been my favorit.
  12. if you need a set of EJ22T heads/cams. let me know. i have a set. cheep... like come and get them...
  13. it could be made to work, but you will need to use a relay. i could draw you up something tomorrow. but for today i have to work.
  14. Now that i list it all out. I am on my 5th set of calipers and rotors in the front and 4th set of calipers and rotors in the rear... the way i see it is, if you increase your "GO" power, you must also increase your "STOP" power. Brakes i have had: Front: Stock 1988 10" rotors single piston sliding calipers, Rear: stock 1988 GL Front: 1989 XT6 ?" rotors single piston sliding caliper, Rear: stock 1989 XT6. Front: 1996 JDM WRX 11" rotors Dule piston sliding calipers, Rear: stock 1989 XT6 rotors W/ Nissan 200sx single piston sliding calipers. Front: 2002 WRX 12" rotors W/ Wilwood fixed 4 piston calipers, Rear: stock 1989 XT6 rotors W/ Nissan 200sx single piston sliding calipers. Front: 2003 JDM STi 12.8 Rotors Brembo fixed 4 piston calipers, Rear: JDM STi 12"Rotors Brembo fixed 2 piston calipers.
  15. its a backing plate from a 2003 JDM STI. therfore it will not fit onto a 1988 GL rear swingarm. so i welded in an adapter to fill the space, and drilled new holes.
  16. Well to day i finaly installed the Brembos i got a week or so ago... I am now on my 4th set of brakes on this car, i think i will keep these for a while... Over the last week i stipped them down and painted them. im not sure if i will add a Brembo sitcker or just leave them black for more of the sleeper look. im leaning twards just black. They were in rough shape when i got them, but i got a good deal so it was worth putting some elbow grease into them. My wife loved it when i baked them in the oven. they came out pretty good. Still need to install the master cylinder and the adjustable valve for the rears.
  17. looking for a good custom plate. im in washington, so i can have 7 digits and some number and letter combos are off limits. here are a few that i was thinking. SUBRDAV 1FASTGL 88 STI 88GLSTI now that i have full STI drivetrain i think i can get away with putting STI in my plate... Pics here if you havent seen my car... http://www.suberdave.com/subaru/Leone/
  18. this is just like the RX wagon... i love those seats, had a set in my wagon when i sold it... i wish i could find a wagon in that shape to transfer my drivetrain into... I love it, be happy with your purchase.
  19. well i will not tell you how much i have into my EJ swap, but im sure its many times what my car is worth. however if you are interested in an EJ18, i have an engine and harness ready to go i will sale you for the Homie hook-up price! Plug and play... just have to find a way to get it down south...
  20. the 6sp will not fit in a EA81 trans tunnle. unless its lifted. but it would be a killer swap if done right.
  21. his engine is a Legacy EJ20G with 2 bolt coils. thus the valve cover gaskets are different. as far as Mass air flow sensor (AFM) i have one from a 96 EJ20G. let me know if you need one...
  22. timing set for a 98 2.5rs will work. the US WRX belt is the same. WRX or STi water and oil pump will work. us WRX spark plugs do not use STI plugs WRX oil filter. 98 2.5rs intake and exhaust gaskets. WRX front crank seal 98 2.5rs cam seals i beleave its 96 25rs valve cover gaskets. not sure on that one this is just a list off the top of my head. i am sure on all but the last one. any others that you need?
  23. if your trany is from a NA car with a cable clutch it will not work. the EJ20G uses the same clutch as the WRX, but if you have a cable trany you need a clutch for a cable trany. Turbo tranys are Hydro and need a pull type pressure plate NA tranys are cable and need a push type pressure plate
  24. i have done a few of these now. the rear drive shaft has to be shortened. then ballanced the shift linkage also has to be shortened. and the crossmember you have to use a three piece member. for cars 87.5 and later you can use the front and rear sectons from an XT6 and the center piece from an impreza. for older cars, you have to cut and reweld the rear section. its about an inch to wide.
