  1. thanks man! i got some damage pics of the bike which i'll post later tonight, its amazingly minimal, to the bike and myself, 4 quarter sizes spots of roadrash, sprained hand, going for a shoulder xray this week just sucks that my left shoulder and right hand are messed up. 2 half functioning arms is way worse than one whole bad one. i'll post the 'report' and pics up after work
  2. wow, sorry for wanting to drive in the rain and NOT get my rusty ************ box wet. i honestly dont care about the drive and would love to come yet, but since my cycle accident last thursday im pretty useless and cant fix my ************ for the time being anyways. oh.. you ever get a quote on those wheels to ship?
  3. Well, after 7.5 yrs of riding I finally laid the previously mentioned bike down. Not much damage to me or the bike. Just needs new handlebars to be ridden again. I pretty much feel like I ran into a brick wall on foot. Hope you all wear some kind of helmets, I woulda been way worse off with out it.
  4. where you new guys located in wisconsin?
  5. swapping the ECU shoudlnt be necessary.. unless there is a problem with the ECU itself? maybe a sensor is not reading properly?
  6. Hey renegadehobo... (love the name by the way) PERSONALLY... since the GL is clean, i would keep it clean and use it as a daily driver and find a 2nd car to rally, especially if thats your only car. Granted im from the midwest where a 20+ yr old car thats clean is about as much of a rarity as crapping out a diamond. out in your neck of the woods, not so much the case. but the EJ swap would probably be way to go. or just find a early legacy sedan and rally that since you'll probably source parts from one anyways. HOpe that helps!
  7. yeah, if we cant answer them, we sure could troubleshoot them
  8. Hi, and welcome! are you near milwaukee?
  9. i believe a DIN-5 would fit flush. also known as euro din if i recall.
  10. its still too rich for my blood!
  11. yeah shipping is definately way less than a paint job/repair etc. im not going to need a new paint job or anything.
  12. i know... those jerks!
  13. LOL nice video. im on track now, just needing to find the time to work on it, im pretty much limited to after work til dark. i went and checked out a car at a local yard, but the wheel well quality wasnt much better than what i have, it was better, but not worth the effort of going to cut them out.
  14. you bet its my DD! right now my daily driver is my motorcycle on dry days, the bus on wet days when i cant take my wifes Outback or get a ride. i did drive it yesterday to my bowling league which was a treat, before i left i had to remove the wheel so i could fill up some gas in it. the filler tube was rusted a bit and had a small hole so i removed it and am repairing it too. so i had to fill it by the rubber tube coming off the tank, LOL. i think it would have been easier and looked way funnier if i had gone to the gas station with my jack to fill it up. the plan: wing it and see what happens. i dont always have a plan, usually i just go day by day and see where i end up.
  15. Finally getting a chance to work on this crap. its going fairly well. i've got the side almost done on the inside of the car. then to figure out how to seal up that open area under the well. any ideas... just cut and cover it up with some sheet metal? http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b133/FscottF/IMG_0181.jpg
  16. Lookin good man. also great to hear you are getting deals on all that stuff. cuz if you werent... that be some mad money!
  17. thats it? lol we could all chip in and live in the subaru compound, kinda like waco, tx!
  18. yeah, im surpised they didnt try to analrape you for that post. hopefully there is gonna be 2 lifted old schools there. cept mine will probably the be only one with air conditioned rear seats. LOL
  19. well.. at this point, just looking at how busy we'll be at work for the next 2 months, i dont know if i'll be even close to having my car fixed to the point of driving it over there. so i'm probably going to have to back out too. I do however still want those pugs from ya. do you think $100 would cover shipping? if you dont wanna ship them, i can always start searchin the yards around here for some 14" nissan 6 lugs and drill them.
  20. they are? you suck! guess thats what i get for getting a car from Illinois!
  21. i got this great hook up for beer, i walk into the store, give them money and take beer away! oh wait. thats not really a hook up
  22. the freeway is fairly smooth. i had to drive down 2nd street on the souf side to pick the dog up, i didnt know it was under construction. typically its the worst road in the city, and being under construction sure didnt help it at all. made it worse!
