Does anyone want to set up a meet anytime soon? The weather's been pretty nice, and I was thinking of exploring some time soon. What do you guys think?

I am in the process of lifting my 83 Brat. Just gathering all the parts first, I have bought all ready: Ozified 4/3" Lift Kit S3500 Superwinch Set of 5 US Wheels 75 Series 6 lug rims Front Bumper Waiting for Tires Machine shop hubs Installation $$

I did with my old Brat, but I took the tailgate completely off, drilled four holes where the tailgate latched into the sides and then use 4 eye bolts to screw into the holes. I then used some heavy guage chrome chain that went from one eye bolt to the other across the back of the Brat. These four holes were equally spaced from each other and were drilled directly across from each other. I then took 6 Chrome carabiners and attached them throughout the chain and attached 3 more pieces that ran perpendicular (Up and Down) to connect to the other pieces of chain. It looked cool, but I took the whole thing off a while ago after I stopped driving my other Brat.

As far as I know, He hadn't. He still has to go all the way back to Sac Town though, so keep your fingers crossed.

Pretty well. We had fun and picked up some cool parts. I scored a sweet bumper for an even better price! I also got 2 enkies and a hood for my Brat. Brian didn't get everything he needed, but he got some great stuff as well. Both places were quite busy, Reno was busier though.

WHAT?! You mean those Rail Road things that I see on some of those Trucks that drive on the tracks? That's awesome! I want a set!

Call some foreign car dealers in your areas, check local junkyards, look here at the marketplace, but keep on it, you might get real lucky. I did with my Pugs, it took me 3 months of looking, and I found them at a junkyard. Many people have had luck drilling both the wheels and the lug/brake drums to fit different wheels on their soobs, search for a 6 lug conversion.

Thats totally funny looking! I think you should go for it if the price is right. It's almost a collectors item by now!

I've been looking at that wagon for a while. I might need the inside paneling for my Brat. Was wondering - I need a fender for my Brat, would that Gen 1 work, or do I need a Brat fender? Oh, did you find out what exit came first? I thought that vista was first and Sparks was the last exit before heading out. OH well.

I don't know the exit numbers, but you can either exit at Vista or Sparks Blvd. From Vista turn right off the ramp, and the Alamo gas station is on the left at the light, or from Sparks Blvd, turn right off the ramp, go past PnP, and Alamo is past the next light on the right. I am definitely going.

I think that I am pretty much set on keeping the US Wheels set for the 4x4 Brat, as I bought a spare as well. I'll probably put a set of street tires on the pugs for my other Brat but was wondering, do I need to do any fender cutting to put normal tires on the 15" pugs on the Brat? also, if I put the rims on there now, is that an automatic 2" lift because the rims are bigger or what happens there? Thanks a lot, you've helped me decide.

Yeah, seems like they have pretty good prices, and I like the look of those tires. SubaruBrat, do you have any idea on what shipping would be for a set of 5 to Reno Nv? any guess would help.

Dang Jeremy, I was looking forward to meeting you. Too bad. I'm thinking thats its going to be pretty hectic there on saturday, I've been watching commercials on PNP's sale, so everyones going to be there I think. Wherever we decide to meet is cool.

I like those tires SubaruJunkie, but I kinda want something with more of an agressive tread. I might check in on those though, I think that the price on those wouldn't be as bad as some of the tires I have been looking at. I liked how that stereo looked mounted in your Subie as well, It looks cool all by it self! I have a sweet stereo in my 4x4 Brat that I plan to add to pretty quick. Kostamojen - Aren't I so lucky? I pulled them from the Sparks Pnp and was very lucky when I found it. I was walking down a row of cars that were all facing away from me (An in between kinda row) and I glanced over and saw a 505Turbo decal on a car and thought, huh, could this be a peugeot by chance? I looked at the rims and it sure was! I pulled the rims as fast as I could after that. It had been there since April 15th and no one had taken the rims from it, I was surprised.

I am definitely down for this meeting, I now get Fridays and Saturdays off so I can for sure make this thing. I was thinking that we should all hook up this summer as well on the Truckee river, I know some sweet hangout spots that are way fun to barbecue and have a fun time at.

I can always go back to my 2/60 A/C. Thats 2 windows at 60 MPH!! I was wondering though, I heard from ozified that they make some pretty cool tires in a 26" size. What are they, and where can I find them? Ozified said that they won't kill my gearing as much, which I am kinda looking for so any help is appreciated. I still don't know what I am going to do about the wheel thing, I got a letter in the mail saying my rims won't ship until the 28th which isn't bad cause I can always save my money for other things in the mean time. Subieman - I know the feeling. I was worried that I might not make it, but since I get out of school this week the nursery can't decide which days they want to give me off, so I am going to go in there today and say "You can set me for whatever days, but I am taking Saturday off no matter what" and I think they'll go for it.

I was going to do the 6 lug conversion to my brat and have purchased a set of 14" 6 lug wheels from Summit racing, but I go to the local junkyard today and luckily enough, pick up a set of 15" Pug alloys. Which should I put on the Brat with a 4/3 ozified lift? Would I still have to cut the fenders with the 14" rims? How bout the Pugs? I am baffled at these turn of events right about now.

Hey peeps! I snagged a half set of PUG's there today! I dropped by to see if anything new came in and I was just about to leave when I walked behind this car and I noticed it was a 505 Turbo. I thought to myself, naww, couldn't be a peugeot... then I looked and it was! I checked the rims and they were all there! All of them! I grabbed the two off the back, but couldn't get the ones off the front because the thing kept spinnin. I even got the original lugs and two center caps on the back! I am amazed, and might get back there tomorrow to get the other two.

would it be possible to put a gull wing door kit onto a brat? I've been looking around and they make bolt on kits for other kits. I emailed one company, but they said they had to custom build a kit for lots and lots of money! I would also think that you would have to cut a little off the fenders because of how the door opens normally, it kind of hinges behind part of the fender. Wouldn't that be way cool though?

It seemed pretty nice. Nice enough to notice... especially in a 78. I was marveled that it was in such good condition. I'll talk to these guys who are going, and they should help out as well.
