is it possble to put a new age knuckle on an EA82, and still use the 4 lug? I want to do taht so i can retain the 4 lug, and do some ultra secret stuff with brakes and wheels.....and I want to use the impreza/legacy coilover setup on the front, since i have a kickass coilover for the EA82 rear now.

this hood and scoop is a test bed for an 04 STi scoop, with proper ducting and splitting to come.... Im not gonna use the APC....There are 6 different vac advance units. Screen shot to come soon in antoehr thread. I'll see how many VAUs i have alyring around...and we will go from there.

No boost cut for this. Its detonation cut before the IC....feels like a fuel plus spark cut at 6300, no matter what. Even no load revving. Hm. I will attempt to reset the ECU before leaving work today. I might attempt to chage the dizzy later tonight....ive got plenty of those laying around.

Ive never seen an Auto, 3 or 4 speed, turbo or not, 4wd or not, or any combination there of, that was 25 spline. I KNOW that the turbo 2wd 3AT have a taller reduction, 2800 at 60....vs a DL's SPFI 3AT is around 3200 at 60. 3400 at 70 vs 4000 at 70. I also noticed that a Turbo 3at is simply more beefy, the trans case is larger, than a non turbo 3at. Still, ive never seen or heard of an EA82/ER27 auto that had 25 spline. Correct me if I am wrong...id like to know for sure...im only 85% sure.

Ok, even before IC and after...no BOV or with....from around 2800 to 4000 it gugles, burps, hickups, stumbles...and has power...but is sporatic....like aan ill tuned carb kinda...at 4k its like the switch for full smooth uninterupted power is tuned on and its smooth sailing all the way to 6k with the IC now...before IC it was smooth to 5400 where detonation would get the better of it. New O2 sensor, new cap, rotors, wires, NGK racing plugs, Accell coil is KNOWN GOOD, clean fuel system and new fuel filter, runs 93 octane all the time, and...clean 3 inch cone filter, 2.5 inch cat back and gutted cats, stock boost, WRX IC, stock turbo, and...like...thats all the mods I can think of. Any ideas? Also seems like less of an issue in 4th or 5th gear. its worse in 1, 2 and 3.

So....cool night time...77 deg...no IC...just standard intake stuff...well, 3 inch cone, and a BOV. 2.5 inch cat back and no cats. Stock boost. 2200...boost starts...2600...full boost...3000....gurgle...3200...hicup...3400...skip...3500...burp...3600...giggle...3800...burp burp...4000...*some one in the ECU turns "Full Power Mode" to "ON"....4500...still ON....5000 Still ON!!!....5200...begginings of detonation and a rev limiter feeling/sounding thing....5500...getting worse...6000...more det, and rev limiter kicking in....6200...full rev limiter sound and feel, sputtering and no power to go no more, SHIFT...4000...etc.... Ok...now: Same ole BS from 2800-4000...then the switch is ON until 6200 now. Cant go past 6300 for some reason...and after keepingthe pedal down trying to get past 6300...it acts like it dont want to go anywhere when you get into another gear for a second... Top of the IC is HOT...and the bottom is COOL...boaderline on COLD....nice strong pull to 6000 for sure. WIth the windows up...sounds kinda like an EJ205 whining under the hood...definatly the IC is the source of that whine that the WRX's have...now the GL-10 has it. Now, for another thread....

Take the dizzy and max the timing out. See if it runs. unhook any sort of aftermarket fuel controller....and see what happens. -

Reverse has no syncro...so it will grind if the trans internals are moving. I would try adjusting the clutch cable some.... -
by 2600, my turbos are at full boost. Sounds really the same.

in the RX's case its 1.196:1. the N/A D/R are 1.592 or 1.596 or so. -

The transmission. For jsut over 1k miles now its been in there. THe 4th gear syncro was weak...now all 5 gears are smooth as butter in shifting. 30 mph into 1st gear? no problem. Nice crisp smooth shifts. Im wondering how long it takes before something breaks now....
