  1. for the 1982 I sold to alex C...it was 70 and some change shipped. I think the 80 sohuldbe around the same. a complete 1986 set with the cruise control supplement is around $130 or so...
  2. Folgers has 4 in stock now. *SEE LAST POST BY MYSELF (WJM)* These oil coolers could possibly be avalible thru Folger SUBARU....we need to beable to sell 5 right off and we would stock 10-15 after that....the cost would be approx. $31.99+ shipping. Now, im guestimating and going out on a limb here since Ive not talked THIS point over with the bossman....BUT...if enough interest in posted, I'll certinly make a big push for it. NO lines included, or the core. Due to many different demands of what people need from the cooling attributes, you provide what you desire in the actual cooling department. Here is what is included in the adapter package: Again, lets go ahead and get interest flowing and lets get a place stocking these things so there is not a waiting time like there has been lately.
  3. $35 shipped for just the cooler, and it does come with a pair of fittings. No lines will be provided..as the costs shoot sky high. You can pretty much use any kind of oil cooler. I used some 300 PSI rate fuel hose, 1/2"...others have used some high dollar hydr. lines, and my future plans are braided stainles steel...not cheap. Im going to psot a new thread about these.
  4. For example...the day I was seriously considereing getting an air/water IC, i had the idea of LQ Nitrogen cooling my PC, so I can overclock the F out of it....and the troulbes of this one dude that installed an AWIC on his WRX running LOTS O BOOST with too much heat build up...the idea came...why not use LQN to in there isntead of some kind of water mixed coolant? COLD and MORE POWER!
  5. I dont aactually have time to sit around an think these tihngs up...over the course of one day....many things that I see get warped and twisted in sick ways to be applicable to the EA82T and make it better, faster, more manuverable, and more powerful. *the King: "Just plain FAST!"*
  6. a bump for those who really want one.
  7. the EJs and the EG and EZ are metric, the source i was getting those SAE ones for had the metric avalible...in a KIT only that cost as much as the OE SUBARU one for the STi and such....there WAS an individual adapter avalible...but some really smart person decied to discontinue it.
  8. Well.........in THEORY....this feild, extracts the heat energy of the air charge...by ways of...well, its just does it. Now, this feild and mechanism has picked up energy...whats it gonna do with it? well...i say convert it to electrial power so that it can power its self, and any extra power it send to the batt...almost acting as a secondary altonator. thats just the ruff theory off hte top of my head.
  9. thats exactly why I wont use it. im tihnking of a magnetic feild that will strip the incomming iar of all its heat enery...well, most of it, down to 0* F.
  10. Ok, so i am gonna be looking up, pricing and checking avalibility for alot of people monday morning, so lets get my list straight so I dont forget anyone... BlueSoob: Brat tailgate oddcomp: rear bearings bajavwnsoobnut: 76 rear tail lights and fuel door 88xt6joe: 91 legacy FSMs Call Alex C at work around 1pm am i missing anyone?
  11. Update on the supposid valve float.... a night or two ago, I went to 6300, held it there and shifted FAST to 3rd, was at 4200-4300 or so...it didnt go ANYWHERE...sounded like that revlimiter at 6300....so i kept it WOT thinking it would clear up...no dice, atleast 15-20 seconds it did this. I let all the way out of it for a few seconds, got back in it, and away it went like nothing happeded. Whats the deal with that?
  12. what would the cost of the rims be?
  13. True on the drilled...but pleiades runs drilled and slotted rotors front and rear on his legacy...had them for a long long time....hes never expressed a problem about then...and the thing WILL send you thru the windsheild if you aint got no seatbelt on. I bet that the threads and such are the same from Leone to Impreza/Legacy with the lines...im going to look for some lines and attempt to fit them. Afterall, it IS a part of the whole upgrade'ed brake system project.
  14. I took my 2.5 inch cat back off and installed a stock (except for gutted cats) exhaust with a stock style replacement muffler. So its very well been restored to factory-ness.... Yes, it quiet...does have a stock WRX'ish sound to it with all the other mods...pulls well in the midrange, although not quite as strong. Throt. response is DOWN, and top end is pretty well out the window. *sigh* I'll be going back to loud next weekend i guess.... My idea for a high flow/no or low backpressure muffler that is quiet would be....a LARGE diameter inlet and outlet, with a large chamber that's low/no restriction wrapped in shredded high heat sound deadening material....or similar.
  15. You could use an air to water intercooler....but instead of water....Liquid Nitrogen....
  16. Ok, bled them again...still a soft pedal. Scauffed up the rotors and sprayed the whole assy down with brake cleen to make sure there were no contaminants on it...doest stop no where near what it used to. i guess tomorrow or next week end I'll change pads, rotors, calipers and lines... Going back on what I was thinking and what baccaruda suggested......could it have been the heat killed the rubber lines and made them soft?
  17. There will still be SOME old oil left in it...as wil there still be old oil trapped in the bearings and oil galleys when you are doing your oil change...the ammount should not be enough to worry about as long as you use Mobil 1 or AMSOIL synthetic or Catrol dino oil....
