I have come accross information that seems to be very accurate, as I have read this before, and heard it many times...now, hearing it again from people who specialize in SUBARU Performance...i shall make it fact until someone disproves it on the board..... It appears that the max output for the EA82T is around 250 HP and 275 ft-lbs of TQ with stock internals....beyond that...you will start to consistantly break things....in the engine that is...also, it was communicated that drive axles will go faster (duh) and transmissions start to fail. After a discussion on the block designs...the EA81's strenght above the EA82 is the head studs, where as the EA82 only has bolts. But with Studs and forged pistons and better rods and a re-done crank....sky is the limit. So...add to the secret recipie: Head bolt STUDS Quality forged pistions & rods Balance/lighten the crank (or make form new material) It was also said that when using the right parts, most importantly, the intake manifold (sypder) and a larger throttle body (xt6 or larger)...and the other go fast bits, header, DP, turbo, cams....touch the internals a little....300 is no problem.

thats in KPH ofcourse....right?

This is where Warp3 stops in this thread and asks if you are related to me....cuz this sounds like something I would post. lol It would work. Just takes some time to do the custom work.

Here is the way things look...correct me if im wrong, Ive had to clean out my PM and email inbox.... shadow (not paid) TomRhere (paid, paypal) Alex C. (not paid) SubSandRail (payment on way?) subiemech85 (payment on the way) subynut (not paid) I think im missing someone...or someone's payment info is not true...? -
weight issue....probably....I do get the advantage of a constant center diff, and the aftermarket support for gear sets and front LSD, and the rear as well, as I would ofcourse use the diff thats supposed to come with that trans. In the end....I bet i will never have and EJ trans in the wagon unless there is an EJ257 infront of it.

Yep....im gonna try it....

Got em guys! 2 more down...one more and we're set to order! -
Eh....dont have a clue aobut that yet. GT3....Legacy GTB wagon...RX gearing, 300 HP...and the GL-10's suspenion settings....and the weight too. Interesting on the complex string.

Once I get 5 prepaid for, I will order 15. When stock comes back down to 2 or 3 units, i will order enough to get back to 10. -
Now that I do remember...the RX that runs is pretty gutless (you drove it shane, remember? LOL) I have an XT Turbo FT4WD single range trans in the GL-10, IDENTICAL gearing to all other turbo 4wd trans that are 3.70. The XT 2wd turbo has taller gearing, 140 at 6000. Where at the RX's and such is 130 at 6500...outch. i belive the XT6 has the taller gearing for 140~145 at either 6000 or 6500.... Back to the RX, the 1st RX i had...well, still ahve, when it ran, i did the hi-lo hi lo thing all the time. i loved it. It DOES make a real difference. With the Gutless RX, it dont matter....still slow...gutless...forward motion....eh...I tihnk its engine it ready to expire. with the 5 lug parts and ej trans, i am simply exploreing possibilities....as...I plan to have 300 CRANK HP from a DAILY DRIVEN EA82T...does teh RX box handle it? Maybe...i dont know. I AM confidant....but incase it does not, i DO want to have a box that does. We know that the WRX trans supposibly craps out under extream use around those numbers, and I simply dont know about the RS box, although, SHane, you abuse yours alot, right? The USDM STi and over seas STis are MADE for that power treatment. So...when I get to that point, I want to be ready if the RX boxes dont work. I ahve considered re gearing the boxes and installing an VC center diff and doing soemthing with the front, either VLSD or clutch type LSD.... Time will tell...

So....after the ultra low'n'stiff setup...the rear axles were at a pretty extreme angle...that allowed the original/already well aged and half way dry rotted CV/DOJ boots to split open and tear them selves loose from their factory home. Another boot simply slipped off the DOJ...and only one boot remained at home. So...grease everywhere. I left it this way with the enxt set up....the Carrera v1.0, and then up to now with carrera v1.1...so...ive decided to do something about it seeing as they might start do destoy themselves soon with the grease supply leaving more and more each day. So....part RX...rear LSD and two good axles. the GL-10 was apart in 10~15 mins. Easy peasy, no problem. The diff was off the RX in no time, and the LR axle. RR refused to come off. Beat with hammer...no. Soak with penetrating oil (PB Blastwe)...No. take off wheel/tire and caliper...beat with LONG HEAVY SOLID IRON rod...no. Beat top RR corner of RX roof, no. beat CV again and again. No. RR quater some and discover the insides of the whole car is rusted out. NO! Ok...I'll take it out with the stub and all. At this point I'd spend an hour beating on it. Ok...nut off....hub/rotor off, less than 30 seconds that was done. Ok...well, beat stub out. Ok, out. Now what? So for the enxt 2~3 hrs, my dad and I spend soaking it with PB blaster, prying on it, beating on it, sledging at it...heating it...PB it....etc etc...FINALLY...it started to budge off of the stub. 1 MM at a time...at a time being about 5 minutes of beating it off the stub with a sledge wnad wedge adn the stub part in a vice...at this point the half shaft was separated from the CV...so i had more work ahead of me to put that back together. About 20 minutes later...PING...it popped off and landed. "Houston, the stubbern as hell RR CV joint has landed....thats one small step for WJM...one giant leap of aggrivation relieved." so then...15 minutes later...the diff and axles were under the GL-10 installed properly. about 4 hours wasted due to two parts being rusted together. and i STILL have to pull the LF axle and service the DOJ. Its gonna get dark soon.... So...lesson for today....what IS the lesson???? does anyone HAVE a lesson on how to go about that more properly and have it done faster? EDIT: Oh and the battery in the other RX is dead now....

contact me for futher information on payment. -
do a search for RX gering on the board and you will find that I posted it up twice. the WRX is 3.90 as well.
-
neither would I Im prolly gonna pick up a set of 390 pugs for free today. Im gonna attempt to fit a 15" tire on them. if so...i need a few more 390s...as the "set" has 3 390s and a 15 incher that looks the same.

for better gearing and the viscous coupling center diff. If i get the 2005 STi trans, it will be truly indestructable, and the front diff is better than the 04....its an LSD as well. 3 non open diffs and excellent gearing.

According to that....i increased my sway bar stiffnes by 66874030.497642202400323307325865% or so... seeing as I had 0MM sway bar in the rear...but since you cannot divide by zero...i div by 0.000000000000000000000000001. but the smallest aval. was a 12...so... that number is 7.716049382716049382716049382716 that 18 vs 19 is 1.2414361377838744093888126809938 So that 1.24 is 24% So whats my number? 671%? or just 71%? Or 771%...?
-
Umm....yeah...the reverse of what everyone else wants. Im planning on having an EA82T sitting infront of an EJxx trans...5 or 6spd STi trans. Now...what I need...is the adapter plate...or some ideas. And....will the EA82 turbo clutch work on an EJxx trans? Since i dont have an EJ trans here, i cannot asnwer my Qs....I DO have an EJ22 engine...and EA trans....but...not the opposite. :-\
