  1. In the red...my RX, with an intake, STi TMIC, TWE header and Downpipe, deadbolt VF7, and a catted/glass pack'd exhaust ending up at 2 inches behind the 2.5" cat. STOCK BOOST. in the blue, JWX's RX. BONE STOCK except for a bottomless intake airbox. And now... Thats it. The MOST power I could get out of it on a 'stock turbo'...it was a Deadbolt PnP VF7 tho...all stock engine management, injectors, internals...etc...same mods as the above chart tho. Thats with running at a SOLID 15 PSI. It would NOT run any more pressure, NOT AT ALL. So that translates to 239 HP and 318 TQ at the crank. Now, its onto a larger turbo...a Deadbolt 13G with a Stromung downpipe...spyder intake manifold, air/water intercooling(or front mount), DIS and Megasquirt EMS...along with some 500+cc injectors. I should beable to surpass 200 AWHP with NO problems at that point.
  2. atleast 135 or more if its NA...160 would be best.. 120-140 is excellent for a turbo.
  3. they are turbo datsun/nissan 280z or what not injectors from the later 70's early 80's turbo z cars...they are direct fit, but the ECU needs to be tuned to use the injector's flow rating for them to work at optimal levels like we wold want (good MPGs, good idle, proper spray at said RPM/load/boost/etc...)... however, looks like EVO injectors are near direct fit. I will be investigating this as soon as my engine is pulled out.
  4. i sent you an email! put me on the list for TWO sets in WHITE if the price is right. DEFINATLY one set for sure.
  5. for these 1996+ subies with full standalone engine management systems...those units dont communicate with OBD2 systems...therefore when you take the car to inspection, you fail cuz the obd2 system cant talk to the obd2 system on the car since it doenst exist anymore. any idea on making a similator box that will talk to the inspection hardware so you can pass these cars? WJM is creating.
  6. I dont have bushings yet. hole saw? no. Just drill aobut 10 holes in the rubber and hammer it out.
  7. the EA81 front control arm busihngs are in a steel sleeve. I drill the rubber out. Then you can deside on how to get the sleeve out later...have not had to cross that path. Ive pressed ONE EA82 control arm bushing out...never again....I will drill the rest out from now on WJM has drilled out many bushings with much sucess.
  8. you'd have to make completely different lengths as compared to the TWE's in order to run them where you are going to run them.
  9. damn, thats right. I have one somewhere.....
  10. I know. I'm just looking at all the options.
  11. looks like a 2WD AT tranny mount...maybe for 4EAT...looks almost similar to the 3AT one...but not quite.
  12. Ok...its time for it...finally. thinking of going with the http://www.rs-autosport.com/ kit, and finding a EDIS 'kit' and finally doing full standalone engine management for either the RX or the GL-10. Ive got all I need to tune the car once everything is hooked up. Doug at Top Speed is a Master AEM Tech/Tuner and knows how to tune anything. We've got a Dynojet AWD dyno with a wideband. Whats the littel secrets?
  13. So....1986 SUBARU GL-10 turbo wagon... and...either 87 RX or 89 RX. i want to swap complete the wiring harness into the GL-10 from one of the two RX's...so i can run the better MAF EMS. BUT...GL-10 has early cruise system..and the 87 has all the plugs for it...does the 89 ahve that too? anyhow...im thinking it would be like Lego's swapping that. what does everyone else think?
  14. PWR. http://www.pwr-performance.com/intercooler.htm
  15. I am currenty working on getting the Cometic headgaskets made for the EA82...as well as gettng ARP to make the headstuds. Since the RX's engine will need to come out of it to fix the damage...I'm going to do some special things to the engine so that I wont need to pull it out again for something stupid like a head gasket... I am also making the switch to an air to water intercooler.
  16. hmmm... i wonder how many launches Ive done. RX's are by no means a WRX. I've done countless hard (really its boarderline on abusive) launches (all 4 spinning or severely gripping) with street tires (205/60/13's) and race tires (real R compund tires, 215/50/13 and 225/45/13) and the thing is so far bullet proof.
  17. I expect 14's from mine. TWE Header TWE downpipe STi TMIC (soon to be air-water setup) EBC set to 13 psi intake
  18. when in doubt...go OE SUBARU. you CANNOT beat them. Contact Folger SUBARU, specifically Steven Rankins, for all your old school needs. 1-704-536-9635
  19. Was going to part out....but now I'm not.
  20. I've got a lead on a MINT 3 door coupe...that runs...for under $100. If I can get it in time...the RX will be at the Dragon.
