  1. We're a gospel quartet. Its our "tour" rig. Converted it, put in bunks, etc. Started painting it Wednesday. Got about a day and half left before its done.
  2. Got you beat......
  3. Check the cable tension on the throttle. Loosen the nut on the sleeve and see if it goes down. I have seen that more times than not, when this is the symptom.
  4. There is a plethora of info here, including pictures. Just search for it.....
  5. Got it working correctly, dont know why though. I disconnected the speaker grounds from the back of the head and everything sounds good now. I cant explain why that worked but it did. So in theory, I have no speaker grounds. They are probably using the chassis ground or something.....?
  6. I'll tell you a little more. First, the speakers worked fine with the unit I removed. The vehicle is a bus. It is set up as left and right channel. There are 4-45w/4 ohm speakers per channel. A friend is thinking that its probably pulling 1 ohm, which isnt good. Later today I will check to see what the ohms are, just to be sure. I would "think" that if a 1995 radio could handle it, a 2010 radio could handle it. These are factory 5.25" speakers.
  7. No where else to put this so here it is. A 1993 vehicle, had a JVC cassette deck in it with 45w speakers. I put a new Clarion in, about 140w. Speakers work and all but I cant put the volume up more than about 5-10% without the speakers distorting. Would it be because I am over driving the speakers? It sounds like they are blown, but the are not.
  8. Nope, done that. Only works once or twice. Wouldnt matter now anyway, they are all ripped.
  9. How do you get around ripping your door gaskets off everytime it freezes. The little plastic things are totally worthless, they just rip the rubber. Screw them into the door??
  10. Which is the easier of the 2 [pulling the engine]?
  11. I am looking for some street legal mountable headlights. You know, housing and all. Anyone have any suggestions? Something I can mount on a bumper and replace OEM headlight setup. Something along those lines at least.
  12. An EJ for a teenager? I would give mine an EA81 with 1 plug wire missing.
  13. I get the same mpg as with my OEM.
  14. No Smoke. Should be a 2.2. I havent seen it in person yet. Has to be a 2.2, its an older Legacy.
  15. Its the part on the glass. Its still alive, but wanted to replace it....silly thought.
  16. For my '87 Brat, where can I find one?
  17. I know, but really there arent that many. I was going to bring my Brat up there to sell it, my boy lives there.
  18. [non related: yay, another Montanan!]
