  1. come on nipper.. you know that such a low profile scoop as whats on the legacy would cause less drag than hanging your arm out the window.
  2. nevermind. i found it. it's on the aluminum plate on the left strut tower. however, is there a way to find out what color primer was used? (so i don't get a different tint from behind)
  3. is there a way to find the color code to my car? i looked in my door jamb and couldnt find it
  4. maserati did about average. i was kinda dissapointed. and yeah, i'm not happy with the photographer. i'll be taking my camera and a trusty cameraman(woman/wife)
  5. while in line this lady came up to me and mentioned that it looks like a rally car, she has a wagon, blahblahblah, blahblahblah at one point while i was waiting for the go-ahead to start the announcer said "at the line is number 84 h-stock steve schwinghammer in his 96 Subaru LegaJEEZ steve, those are some big tires you have on that thing. you got enough power to turn those babies?"
  6. i don't know, i was too busy trying to not hit the "Z" cones at the end. i did get some comments from people while i was in line and some from the announcer too when i was staged
  7. you dont need to take it back. here's what to do. 1) get some coolant. should be dexron II 2) with the engine cold, start the car 3) right after starting (still cold) remove the rad cap 4) stand in front of the car. the coolant will bubble. 5) every time it bubbles add more coolant. 6) keep an eye on the coolant overfill tank 7) fill rad with coolant until coolant in the coolant tank reaches the hot line or a little above. keep in mind that overfilling is not the end of the world. if there's too much it will drain itself from the overfill tank. 8) replace rad cap
  8. see if you can them preloaded from monroe or something. that way it's just 5 bolts in and out
  9. the rest of the pics are at www.nhscc.com but that's the only pic they got of me. of course there's about 19 shots of each miata that was there.... there's some really nice sti's and other imprezas there. a couple of them are NASIOC dwellers. i deninitely got a lot of weird looks at the starting line
  10. i came in 3rd in the HS class. i beat out 2 preludes and a jetta. i got beat by a mazda 3 and a focus (that i think was mis-classed) that was running about 8 seconds faster than everyone else.
  11. Yeah at one point i was coming around the u-turn and the announcer said "here's comes number 84 LIGHTS BLAZING around the turn!" btw, i turned them on in later runs
  12. i get benefits, but no one else. i benefit off of everyone elses dues
  13. i assume you're not talking to me about the pics. and no...YOU join the club.
  14. why do i have to live in the least cool part of the continent...minus california...
  15. no, actually this was supposed to be about sharing pictures of the blemishes and damaged parts of your car. but, evidently, it's not now.
  16. because it's not changing the loading time by linking a picture. because the picture is linked to another site it's taking minimal bandwidth from usmb and the majority of it from it's host site (photobucket)
  17. maybe there's something on my paper towels... after i did all my sanding i wiped it down with 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol then took it outside and sprayed it with dupli-color auto spray clear top coat. i just did a quick re-sand through the different grits on the clearcoat to get come of the "canyons" shallower. we'll see how that works. i asked this in the other thread... is the lense foggy until sprayed?
