  1. havn't read the thread, but here's my take on the mileage: the trip odo says 270. the gas tank is near the E-line. they're looking at about 300 miles per tank.. i can make this assumption because in order to keep good records of gas mileage, you'd use the trip odo to keep track of tank-miles. 300 miles to a 16 gallon tank is not 35mpg. BUT, it's a great looking car in wonderful condition. and he WAS very honest about everything else, even that little door ding. i'd suggest checking it out irreguardless of whether or not the mpg is accurate.
  2. um.. i'm suprised that no one's comented on the fact that this car has 366 thousand miles on it.... wow, even if it IS dead, it had a great life! sorry, no worthwhile bits of wisdom, but GOOD LUCK!! GET IT TO 500K!
  3. this probably doesn't pertain to this whatsoever but i got roughly 3.5 inches from outback struts, legacy springs, and 205/75r15 rubbers on my 96. but, like i said, probably doesn't pertain because the 96 and 90 and different animals.
  4. yes. i agree with cheese nip. i did that as well on a lift at the garage, did the same thing. you gotta give it gas to make the awd kick in.
  5. you dont have much photoshop experience...do you... nah, i'm just playin'. that should look pretty cool, be sure to post real pics as they come
  6. 96 legacy here. 112. it's true. once i got up to 120ish...but that was downhill with the wind to my back. i think it's a speed/rev combo. once the speed gets to about 112-115, the revs go back to 4k and wont go higher
  7. actually the funny thing is that me and Legacy777 posted exactly that at exactly the same time, but mine came up first so he deleted his post (with his modatorial powers) before anyone else saw.
  8. first i'd say try about 10 or 15 lbs. second...no...there's only one mudrat...and oregon/washington has dibs
  9. any idea how to fix cigarette burns on apolstered seats? also....so, i've got a glob of dried rubber cement on my back seat...any ideas?
  10. semi topic change....any idea how to fix the burns on apolstry? also....so, i'm got a glob of dried rubber cement on my back seat...any ideas? edit: nevermind...this is rude. i'll start my own thread.
  11. ah....i guess i'll go back to my New Gen forum now.
  12. yeah...along the same lines, there's NOWHERE in pittsburgh that i know of, and the few small places there are are being developed..... republican/conservitism is a double edged sword in my life...
  13. oh andy...you're so crazy...so crazy like mad scientist....who knows about wind.
  14. you could get some Monroe Sensatracs for pretty cheap. and they're very good, it's what i have on my 96
  15. correct. Was that thread here? i'm back and forth between usmb and sl-i that i forget where what's been said.
  16. also, as far as i know, torquebind on a 5mt isn't as easy a fix as with the 4eat
  17. are all 51 of your posts in 2 threads? anyway, there's some Gen 1 legacy's with aftermarket body stuff over at www.sl-i.net. go check them out.
  18. it's a wheel bearing. you're not going to get a road hum from the tread on all seasons. only big ol' jeeps with mudders go down the road going, "WOM WOM WOM WOM WOM" (EDIT)= this was posted without reading the rest of the thread....my bad.
