  1. is the plastic covered valve in the airbox, inside the filter, needed for anything? is it just emmissions? and anyone know where the two hoses should connect to?
  2. I'm also going to try and retro fit one of these
  3. I actually checked it out and it's riding on rubber pillars now to quiet the clicking of the valve lifters!
  4. good tip!, would rubber between it and the mount work?
  5. Yours will be cleaner than mine! still a nice engine bay
  6. I'll be in ausy in august, I'm down with bringing small stuff back stateside
  7. anything that would hender the performance? so that's not the original fuel pump huh?
  8. haven't done anything yet I'll check it out
  9. thank you x2 I'll move the timing, till just before it spudders at idle right?
  10. a better question would be "would an EJ25 fit?" and yes an EA81/2 should fit just fine
  11. here's some pics I took it out again and opened it up more, it seems to "backfire" when I step on the gas but it accelerates fine now
  12. does it over heat before or after the overflow starts filling? if it's after then it's your radiator cap letting the fluid through too early (right?) also I'd replace the thermistat anyway, it couldn't hurt anything and could get you a little performance if you find a lower temp one
  13. SKIP!!!! how are ya?? It's not an April Fools joke but I can't prove it because this hood isn't getting cut even for a NACA air vent I'll be testing the carb tomorrow, but I think it's getting fuel, I saw fuel squirting in from the top, does the throttle need to be wide open? which vacuum hose should I check first? also I noticed the hose coming off the bottom of the airbox is plugged and goes no where, is it important?
  14. Thanx moosens, my garage just didn't seem complete without a subaru (after I sold my RS). and I need to get one of those "Charter Member" icons :banana:here's some shots of the new ride http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=974257 thanx zefy!!! I'll try that when I get back from Key Largo this weekend, would that be related to not having a vacuum line on the valve on the intake funnel for the airbox? man it's been a long time
  15. I just picked up a '79 4wd wagon , when I give it too much throttle it feels like the fuel cuts out, I have to slowly eccelerate
