put a new tranny in my 82 about 2 months ago. needed a new cv too... jumped my car last week, put 2 more cv axles on it! hahaha:banana:

yeah, that happened to me once about 10 minutes after i put a new tranny in my car, i thought my new tranny had already gone to s**t! lol

my 82 gl had the same problem, power to swith and fuses, but no lights. i just wired the lights straight to the switch. worked really well, headlights come on when you turn parking lights on, but thats better than no lights at all!! haha. p.s. this wont burn your car up either, if it gets too hot it blows your acc. fuse. at least thats what mine did.

is the hydro lifter engine any better than the solid lifter motor? what difference does it make?

my 4 speed dual range blew up and i was thinking about doing a 5 speed dual range swap. i was wondering if i would need a new rear dif. and a different clutch. i already know i would need new CV's, but i wasnt sure about clutch and dif. my car is an 82 gl wagon w/ ea81
