I added mine into the radiator hose adaptors I figured It was the best place to put it as I had to make the adaptors anyway.

1984 GL Wagon Fwd Build
They are pretty rare this one came out of a forester with a special trim level (look for one with a brush guard), but some came in RS25's as well. I now have two of them. One of them is in my legacy. And they are awesome.

Updates!!! Body work is done, it has now been taped off. I have removed the two windows with bad seals for painting ( I have good used window seals on the way!) I got to use my block sanding kit, and I have no idea how I've gone this long with out them doing body work. Wow what a difference. Thanks to my dad's ingenious our garage is staying a toasty 75* (this runs off from our outdoor furnace)

I am indeed on NES, and I have seen photos of that car, it's my inspiration. I would never want to tackle glass ones after the amount of time i've spent sanding these and they are not even close to being done- What Have You Done to your Soobie lately? (Please post in here and keep it going)
Unlike the ones around here, I haven't seen one on the road (besides mine) in 4 years or so As for me I started retrofitting projectors into my legacy, so far it's just been a lot of sanding on the lenses. Hope it's worth it in the end- Snow pics thread. . .
Nice choice, I love my polaris my last one made it to 16,000 miles! This is from pic is from last years trip to Maine I go every year (except this year, my class load is too heavy ) Mine's on the right, dad's is on the left. I'm going to break this beast out some tomorrow- turbo headers on a NA motor?
If I recall the turbos also have a different water pump as the turbo manifold would interfere with the normally aspirated one's housing, so the water pump may have to be swapped out as well.- The Awesome Vehicle Picture Thread
1987 audi 4000 quatro nsu prinz Lancia anyone? BMW e28 M5 Saab 99 Turbo This has to be in here! And I have to add my favorite of all the Swedish boxes the 780! PEUGEOT 505 4X4- My '95 Legacy: Trashwagon10
The 4:11's I have now in my legacy are as short as I'd ever want on the street, I don't have large tires on it or anything, but with the gearing I have now I could run something much larger and still be fine. Right now it's about 3600 rpm at 70ish mph (speedo is a couple mph fast) of course because of my defining exhaust it sounds like it's turing a lot more than that- The Awesome Vehicle Picture Thread
It's actually a kind of green, my dad painted a while back. The owner has sold it and now has a 63 Chevy. It's a bit more drivable, and you can get parts Here's a few other cars goliath had. The Express (also came in a truck) The tiger two door (came with a dual carb 63 hp engine instead of the 48 hp single carb) And the sedan There was also a very rare convertible And here's the 1100 h4 water cooled engine, earlier models had a two cylinder 2stroke.- The Awesome Vehicle Picture Thread
I'll add to this! TheLoyale I love the old w123's my dad has two of them one of them being a very rare coupe! And this is the best $150 I have ever spent. It was free, and then the rest was in steel, and some brake lines. She's looking a little rough these days, but is still doing great. It's off road only now due to the welded front and rear diffs. The goliath I own (mines the red one) One of about 4 in the us with a sliding canvas roof!- My '95 Legacy: Trashwagon10
Nice score, I think mine was not much more from honda. It's seriously one of the best things I've done to mine, you'll love it.- 1984 GL Wagon Fwd Build
So the body work is done, with the exception of three places that I need to sand down which I will be doing next weekend along with priming it. Here's how it looks (the same just with less paint) This is one of the hardest places I had to fix, there was a dent in the body line, It's not 100% perfect but it's about as good as it's going to get, as I'm very sick of bondo. This door has been a PITA, every time I fill one dent another shows up. I don't understand. I also got all the jams prepped today, and removed the remaining window seals/door jam seals. I'm going to try and order a rear window gasket as mine is garbage, last I heard there was like 3 left in the country, so I'll keep my fingers crossed I can still get one, but I won't take mine out until I know for sure that I can get one. And a shot of my finished radio console. I scratched it a bit on the way in, so I'll have to touch it up a bit, but over all I'm pretty pleased with it. [/img]- Jessekrs123's 1984 Subaru BRAT
That video makes me miss driving mine, I can't wait until summers here and the road salt is gone.....- I am noobie Just brought this home tonight!
Finding a crack free dash, is going to be tough, I just recover mine myself in my ea81 wagon, it turned out pretty good, I don't know how it will hold up, but it was the best alternative considering there are non left where I live and I didn't want to spend the money to have it recovered. Dash repair is in this thread. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=126022&page=6 And I used what's called flocking to cover it. I got that here http://www.donjer.com/ Good work with the welding, i just wrapped that end of it up on my wagon. I'll be keeping an eye on this build!- What Have You Done to your Soobie lately? (Please post in here and keep it going)
I cut up one for a second gen, and then screwed it on. I couldn't use and of the factory mounts and had to cut them off, I know a guy that used sticky tape to hold it on, but it blew off going down the highway, so I decided that this was a better option. I don't know if they will or not. Depends if the arm is strait, you may have issues if they are curved like the ones on my ea81's I've been looking for an alternative to those as well.- What Have You Done to your Soobie lately? 76740-S9V-A01 from the honda dealer. I also have heard of getting them off line. I don't know the price yet, as I ordered it through work, and we haven't gotten the bill yet think it's right around $30 for the arm and blade Much better than my rusty worn out one with no spring tension.- What Have You Done to your Soobie lately? (Please post in here and keep it going)
I put a honda part on mine today :hide: But it is one of the best upgrades I've done, I can see out my rear hatch for the fist time in bad weather! The arm and blade are both off from a honda pilot, I have the part numbers if anyone is interested. another pic- Rust repair
I've used them on more than one ea81. They don't fit prefect, but with a bit of cutting and bending they fit and work well, Here's the thread where I put mine on. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=126022- My '95 Legacy: Trashwagon10
Very cool, just watched both of them - 1984 GL Wagon Fwd Build
Thanks and I'm using an old Miller welder, and some skills  (actually I haven't been welding all that long, I guess I just have a knack for it)My dad got the old welder from work when they got a couple newer ones. Se have used it on a ton of projects over the years. This year it had some issues, so we replaced the gun, and a couple other bits, and It has never worked better. I love it. Out of all the tools in our garage I would never get it up. This is the best pic I have of it right now. The thing has been bullet proof. - What Have You Done to your Soobie lately?
