  1. I bought back the foz from ins. towed it back to my shop..still runs and drives..lots of goodies to swap ...on a another foz.. Man those side mirrors are tough....!
  2. Insurance totalled the fox..I bought it back..The hunt begins for another forester.. I sold my outback today..I'm almost subeless first time in a decade...I'll be wheelin' bigger n' better soon..gotta get back on that horse..
  3. Perhaps it turn into a fozzybrat...Looking at a replacement..foz or even a new XV in desert Khaki..We will see. I loved this car it was so much fun..lot's of memories..LIfe is good
  4. A ok..and then drove to friends..
  5. My foz is in a different phase now..A 2X rollover..I'm ok..It runs and drives perfect..
  6. Why not a 3.6... probably a 3.0l
  7. Update for now..between wheelin' and working on other rigs... I picked up an '08 Tribeca 130 amp alternator $65 used , harness w/plugs, extra charge wire to the battery w/ inline fuse I replaced the battery hold down with an SPT one for a little bling.
  8. Ken block, David Higgins, Antoine Le'Stage, ACP..Just to name a few.. I'll be there..Plus some offroad action and camping in the Hood river foothills. www.oregontrailrally.com
  9. I wear nitrile gloves everyday ....3 of us at work wear them. Nice when you have do paper work and test drives or get on the computer..
  10. With the extra load requirements of the 9,000lb winch..I'll need abit more juice to run it. An optima D35 yellowtop and an Tribeca 3.6L 130amp alternator ought to do it. If the dimesions are similar to the 3.0L h6 it should drop right in..The h6's have one extra rib on the pulley which is ok ..They lined up perfect on the ej22. on my hatchie.. SHH...(my goal is to H6 the Forester in the future.. Now with the bumper fab I ran into a snafu..The intake box under the right front of the bumper .. The cure is a Snorkel...! Looks like the grille is going to get a trim to fit the winch up nice and tight...
  11. For those wondering why I sold my beloved hatchie.. It came down to safety with my son riding in the back. As well as needing space for multi day wheel in trips. Bryan is a good friend and was the perfect candidate for sharing the love of the hatchie. In fact he got his first taste of wheelin in it. Ride on...
  12. 13. I've been busy wheelin' and upgrading...as I go along... Recently I purchased some leds lights for the exterior/interior from www.superbrightleds.com All the exterior lights were up graded..WOW>>> The crappy pics just don't do it justice.. The interior rear hatch light is a white, dome is blue, map lights are blue.. I also up graded the headlamps to a philips 9003 XPS2 HB2 H4 extreme power ( they claim 80% more power)..no joke.. My housings are perfect with no yellowing..one is new..(broken when I purchased the rig) They are a nice white not obnoxious.. I can finally see the road ...as the stock lamps were about as bad as my stock '84 hatch lights. Best upgrade yet...I only paid about $30 . The bumper fab has begun.. First the lower tie bar reinforcement (damaged one before I got the rig and then a few hits witha skid plate on..) 2" square box tubing welded to the tie downs...and a few tabs for the skid plate. Note : the lower tie bar will be intergrated into the main bumper for maxium stiffness/support for pulling...(heeps.. The two square plates are 3/16" thick and are bolted to the factory mounts. I'm using a harbor freight universal winch mount plate w/ fair lead mount. $40
  14. This is a forester thread...nothing to do with an outback ...apples & oranges...
  15. www.get-primitive.com for king springs . kyb excel g front sf struts, rear struts sg '03 kyb excel-g
  16. coming soon...9,000lb engo winch and offroad bumper..
  17. Glad to hear your ok Bryan... Be thankful I put rear discs on the hatch otherwise you would be in back of the caddy suv...Trust me the rear drum brakes were unnerving at times...! Of course having all the extra cargo weight in the hatch doesn't help either. I made it home ok after a couple cat naps at a couple rest areas...It was a long day... I had a great time...
  18. I found a pic of Bryan riding in the back of the turbo brat that trip...
  19. I 'll be there in the foz and my friend Bryan will be bringing my old hatch..
  20. I headed up Mt.Hood sat. for a perfect day of wheelin. Starting at bennet pass and fs3550, gunsight ridge fs 4410. We had some great views of badger lake and glimpses of Hood.
  21. After spectating @ Mt.Hood rally ...I could see snow in the hills along with rainbows.. I met up with Teamcf and we headed out to check out Cline buttes. Then headed to Mt.Bachelor foot hills to camp..It was 28*f that morning.. we offroaded all the way to Edison butte and hit the trail full of sharp lava rocks and tight spots just squeezing our rigs in...between trees...the only rigs we saw were mtn bikers and a couple moto-X bikes.. After some lunch we headed over to Cline buttes(Redmond,Or) for more fun.. a link to our trip..I'll post up more pics soon.. http://www.pnwadventures.com/forum/completed-trips/24963-cline-buttes-ohv-edsion-trails-10-20-12-a.html
