Go to a different tire dealer then. I have used Blizzaks for years on Subaru's. Just remember they are a winter tire not a performance tire. I am pretty sure you wont be taking this vehicle up to 130 mph. If you rebuild this engine go the whole nine yards and do a complete rebuild. Look on carparts.com for a low mileage Junk yard engine. I found a 2.2 with 126 k for $500 bucks with a six month warranty.

Yes it works by pushing the clutch in. They can cause problems if they stick. They can also be disconnected by taking the cable off the clutch fork.

Why people don't check their oil is beyond me even on a new vehicle..Takes two minutes to do. You should check your oil at least once a week, Three times a week if it leaks or burns it.

Do EA82s have igniters like the EJ cars have. I had a 1977 Toyota that had an igniter. When it would get hot it would quit running and wouldn't start until it cooled off, It would still spark when it was hot but a very weak spark. Replaced the igniter and it never did it again. I forget what they call it but EAs have a little thing like a coil in the distributor. Some kind of pick up coil. It could be that heating up and causing a bad spark situation. Also kind of sounds like vapor lock.

I still haven't figured out what is wrong with mine. I just learned to fill it real slow. Sucks taking 10 minutes to fill the tank.

Check for the basics first. Does it have spark at the spark plugs. Is it getting fuel,. Pull the drivers side Timing belt cover to inspect the timing belt. Check all relays and fuses. Also find out why it got hot and spewed water.

Headlights on when car is on is normal.

IMO you should never let the fuel level get below 1/4 tank.

Depends on who is doing the job. Most garages charge by the book which can run into the thousands depending on hourly rate. If you look around and find a small independent work shop that does that kind of work for a fixed amount you can get them down into the Hundreds of dollars for labor and parts. Try to find a mom and pop garage that knows Subaru's.

You could build a wood frame that the motor mounts sit in. Even go as far as drilling holes for the motor mount bolts to sit in.

As long as it isn't two rusty it should go a long time before major repairs. With that amount of miles I would look into doing Timing belt kit with water pump real soon..

Your brakes are shot!. Replace both sides with the kit they have on Rock auto. When you change the brakes and rotors inspect the pistons to be sure they are not leaking or sticking. Also inspect the slides and grease them.

How long did it sit without moving. was it out in the rain? Could just be surface rust.

I used the Stant's Xacstat on my 03 forester. It has worked very well so far. Temp stays at one spot no matter what the outside temp is.

If the jacking point is that bad then IMO the car is worth Junk price. Or you could part it out and get a little more.

Was crusing along when all of a sudden airbag light came on. What would cause this?

Subaru never used 13 mm. They consider it bad luck.

When I use to go to Harrys Upull I would go when they had sales on stuff like starers then buy three or 4 for parts $15 bucks plus the two entrance fee. It was nice living 15 minutes a way from it. West Virgina has no U pulls.

Did you ad grease to them?
