  1. did all the above , bleed it, drove it down the road, now that side seems real hot , even smoking alittle , what did i do wrong or did not do ?, new pads / rotors, cleaned everything with brake parts cleaner
  2. should the trainsmsion be in netraul, yes this is a a/t , yes the hole calipters is off
  3. how do you get the rear rotiors off, is there a bolt that holds them,please tell me everything you know(its a 97 legacy)
  4. calipers are dry, 160,000mi on it, fronts were done last week, can i use after market pads / rotors, ? thanks again,
  5. update, autozone has what i need in stock, looks like one side really worn down and very rusty, and badly groved rotor, the other side has a different pad on and looks alittle better, but going to change both sides, here is question should i go ahead and replace the the rear calipers also, since everything is so rusty, ???
  6. how many bolts hold the rear caliper to the drum, alot of rust
  7. how close should the pads be to the rotor? newer caliper, new pads the rotor came off the same car,just swapped everything, looks like a quarter of inch before the pads touch the rotor, should i adgust the piston?
  8. ok, i have changed the map sensor 3 times and still getting the same code, barometic pressure problem or circuit , and this could affect mpg , which it has,
  9. i may have the hoses mixed up on the map sensor , while replacing it with a good one, looking on the 97 it is routed different than the 95, , any help, ? thanks
  10. got mine off ebay, gives code and what the code is, + for other cars, 50 bucks shipped to me,

  12. yes that is another thing to think about also, i lost the guys # hopefully i'll find it, but what i noticed the little time i had to look at it was the oil was real low ,which he said it used oil , which leads me to think he may had ran it low on oil and coolant, thanks

  14. the owner says new thermostat,but more the likely after market,wonder where the coolant is going nothing in the oil, no coolant inside car, all hoses looked good, but only had 5 min to look at it, and it starts up fine and runs good,also the owner says new water pump,
  15. found a fwd, a/t sedan, 150,000mi , new alt, new radiator, new tires, good, glass, blue interior, bad axle, , ticking noise, i heard it run, not bad, my question , he says that the heater does not blow hot air, , he tried flushing it , new coolant, and leaks coolant some where, ? i am thinking bad heater core, no milkshake , no crap under cap, ,and shifts smooth,
  16. name brand , meaning same as your buying from autozone , walmart, sent a sample to the dealer in fairborn , ohio, [ subaru dealer since 1976 rated best in the state of ohio] good all the way around oil, sorry i only drive 5 miles to work and back, no more said, another oil debate,are you real sure the off brand store your getting it from , which i have never heard of, , is good oil,
  17. i have read alot about oil 's, synthetic blend is all i use , every 4500 mi, with napa gold oil filter, 10w30 , they all make it, , 2 bucks a qt or 4.50 qt, short trips, there are lots of reading, about this, less leaking,
