  1. according to my code reader , only code knock sensor, i replaced the crank sensor thinking it would solve the hard starting problem, after warmed,
  2. my front / rear wiper did not work this morning, check fuses all good, cig lighter not working also, a few miles down the road everything worked, + hard starting after warmed up, already replaced crank sensor, showing a code knock sensor, we had alot of ice/' snow here + cold , after sitting all day , everything good, this is on a 97 legacy L wagon , 164,000mi ,a/t
  3. when its 10pm at night, wal-mart is the only place open. they no longer cut keys , it's done by a pc , closest locksmith is 50 miles away ,when the same thing happaned to me , 2 weeks ago, and wal-mart fixed me up
  4. what i need notice when i changed both axles ,was that the axle nuts were pretty loose, what is the right way to change a master cylinder, ? thanks
  5. fluid looks ok, but not real clear, when i changed the front axles there were no leaks then 5,000mi ago , but have not checked the back , thats what i was thinking about doing bleeding the brakes and put in all new fluid ,thanks
  6. on a 97 legacy L wagon ,with abs, all of a sudden the pedal is alittle low, no abs light on , brake fluid good, the pads / rotors good , aleast half the pads left, any thing to look at first ? thanks
  7. you could put a ob2 scanner on it and check for codes, or any auto parts store will do it free, have them check for past codes also ,also do above
  8. ok thanks, the scanner will give how the engine is running while running also, mixture, etc...
  9. not sure if you can or not, but i cleared mine with my ob2 scanner, i replaced the crank sensor already, so it starts after you shut it off for 5 mins or so and restart fine now,
  10. checked it again, knock sensor, barometic pressure range, some times when you start the car the first time it will not start right away , if you turn the key back and try again it will start,
  11. yes and no, the car has 164,000mi on it also, that is what i was thinking [ ghost codes], i have never changed the plugs/wires , things i changed ,fuel filter, pvc, cleaned maf , air filter, but mpg is way down like 14 , yes i have a set of oem plugs / wires ,+ a good coolant temp sensor, . thanks will do ,one other thing, the idle goes up and down ,even after the car is warmed up ?
  12. it works great, here are my codes, p0106 barmetic pressure range, p0115 coolant temp, p0303 misfire #3 , p0035 knock sensor , p0105 manafold, but no check engine light on, should i clean all the codes and then check again, ? which is # 3 ? but iam going to change all the plugs + wires , this is on a 95 legacy L 2.2 motor a/t awd wagon , thanks
  13. i only used the 4wd in snow or mud , some common things that can go bad are axles, the tranny can go bad around 150,000mi but mine never did, the speed for the fan [ heater, defrost ] oil leaks, + rust,ticking in the motor, also welcome to the board, good to see subaru owners close by
  14. i went ahead and got one off ebay, myself, it will save trips to autozone for them to read any codes that i may have some time .,
  15. when it's cold out, like 30 degrees , the lock on the drivers side is real hard to unlock , anything i can do to fix this or a new key or new lock ? thanks
