  2. i did on mine , did not seem to hurt anything 86 spfi a/t sedan , the dealer said is was ok , my compressor is locked up and the pully was bad .
  3. aleast buy the 7 subaru's , take pics , email them to me ,then i can bid , take one of those picture phones , :
  4. i to drive truck local city driver 15 yrs , 48ft or 53ft , all things affect the match , location of antenna , cheap ones do not last very long , i always match my antenna ,and keep the antenna in the same location on the truck or car . i am also a ham operator for 10 yrs , just my 2 cents
  5. if you have a bad match then the power comes right back into the cb , the cb will transmitt better not receive better , so what i am saying is get it matched in it will last longer. wilson makes one called little willy about 30 bucks , a good cb 80-90 bucks , matching a antenna is necessary , it.'s like not changing your oil in your car , well there is oil in the car so do not change just drive it
  6. go with k-40 or wilson , get the cb peaked up , also matched, it will work better, a local cb shop can do all this ,
  7. yea, i found it. the wiring runs along the rocker panel to the kick panel. tha dash is already out, not a waste, because the wiring harness comes in right behind the heater box, and alleyboy wants the dash. cool
  8. thanks alot , will save alot of time , already tore dash apart , should have asked before ,
  9. i live near ft. loramie ,ohio . 74 outside today

  12. ok i am going to put a turbo a/t motor from a xt into a gl 4wd manual wagon ,both are 88 , so which one would i need 1in or 7/8 ???
  13. went to napa to order a clutch kit, there are 2 possible, 8in with 7/8 shaft or 8in with 1in shaft , which one would i need, or how do i tell ? thanks
  14. yes the low speed works, and the intermittint works, will check all thanks,
  15. thats what i did on my 88 full time 4wd wagon , but using the jack stands might be safer, or less likely that some thing might slip down or get damaged
  16. my 88 turbo full time 4wd turbo wagon , the high speed of the wipers does not work , would it be in the switch on the steering wheel, ? or wiper motor or connection , if it is in the? switch how hard are they to change ? i have spare switches
  17. do you have a floor jack, put it onto the rear diff ,mine has the metal cover and it will raise the hole back
  18. ok, great , what about a hood scoop on the gl wagon ? i could use a saw-saw ,
  19. yes , the rear discs also , i have front and rear pads .
  20. sounds good, as far the spfi motor lets just replace seals gaskets timming belts , and not put it into the xt , john would like some things from the xt , and we are going to trade parts , will the xt seats fit into the gl wagon ? because they are real nice looking , what about the exhaust in the gl wagon ?
  21. ok, see i have no title to the turbo xt and the motor is already been pulled and seals gaskets timming belts replaced etc... the gl 4wd manual wagon needs seals gaskets timming belts w/ 180,000 mi the xt motor has 150,000 mi , , thanks
  22. will i never have done this either, but miles said it can be done , so next weekend we are going to do this , or might just pull the spfi motor and do timming belts seals gaskets and put it back in ,
