EJ22 Snorkel Setup
Great idea! Would make doing the EJ swap a lot easier if you didn't have to reroute everything to the interior. How'd you make it so the wires can get in but it's still water tight?

EJ22 Snorkel Setup
Kitty! Looks great! Very clean. My only concern with such a setup is that it could be easy to damage if it's sticking out the side like that. I like your waterproof ammo box in the spare tire location, been considering doing that to store my stereo amp. What do you have hiding in there?

Redneck facebook = Myspace. But that still makes no sense.

Luckily the VCs on these cars are easy to access, and the bolts can be snugged down quite tight. But it does suck that gravity is not on their side. Ooh, I'd better go loctite my VC bolts before I forget!

Thought about just switching to 80/100w halogens, but my alternator is already taxed as it is, hence why I'd much rather do Xenon HIDs and spend a lil extra cash. I just wish it were easier to swap a projector lens in.

Have you done another dyno pull since installing the new clutch? Curious to see what power you're putting down.

Nice! Did you swap over rear e-brake too?

sjr 4 inch lift is thrashing my front axels
Yup, reman axles suck in general. I got the Oreilly axles with lifetime warranty. They usually start making noise within a month or two, and last maybe a year before the boot tears or it starts getting really noisy. I keep the receipt handy and they just keep replacing them, no questions asked. I'd rather go this route, though, cause these axles are pretty easy to replace, and I'd rather replace these once a year then blow up expensive axles every two or three years.

Front mounted radiator huh? The stock water pump doesn't have trouble pushing the water that far?

Good to hear it made such a trip without incident. Got any more videos? Preferably a burnout or launch?

Maybe a mixture issue, do any of the plugs look like they're running rich? Stuck injector or o2 sensor perhaps. Did the problems start before or after your tuneup?

Firstly, stay away from Autolite plugs on an import car, spend the extra few cents to get NGK coppers. Secondly, stay the HELL away from any FRAM filters, especially oil filters. They're literally made with cardboard. Get Wix filters if you can. Funny the mileage went so poor so fast. Is it running rough at all? Maybe a brake or two is sticking, have you lifted the car fully up and spun the wheels to see how well they spin?

Nice! Very short vid, but plenty effin loud! It's weird to hear a sooby boxer motor with forced induction, and hear it rev and let off WITHOUT hearing a massive woosh from the BOV.

Nice! Long vid, but I'm glad you didn't cover up all the car noises with crappy music.

Yeah Jezsek, I think he mentioned he'll be working on a firewall in the back. But for now, just run without the hatch.

Some glass places will pricematch. Try calling Safelite, get a quote for your car's windshield, then tell them some other outfit in town will do it for like $120 or $130 or $140, somewhere in that range. They usually don't even verify it, they will just match the price cause they want your business. I've done that and gotten windshields for several cars for around $130 installed, and the guy even drove to my house to do it!

I checked Napa, Oreilly, Autozone, Carquest locally, and a bunch of stores online, nobody had them or could get them. I'd be curious if someone did get them from a store and where it was. But when the dealer wanted so much money for them and I'd still have to wait a week, figured I'd try my luck at the JY. The cone washers, spring washers, and axle nuts I found were in great shape, probably because they'd only been removed once or twice in the car's life. And I got like 6 sets for $10... I wouldn't recommend getting used wheel bearings from the JY. You can get really nice industrial quality pre-greased sealed bearings on eBay for like $15 a pair. They're bearing model 6207-2rs, and try to find them in ABEC3. In fact, here's a link!

Diff lock?! Please, do go on! I was never able to find the cone washers at any auto parts store. The Soobie dealer wanted like $15 EACH and would have to special order them anyway. Didn't find anyone online who had them, either. But I went to the junkyard and stole a handful of them that're in good condition, even got axle nuts too. So I'd recommend just going to the junkyard, cheaper and faster.

Mock up in solid works, Subaru R160 Locker
$500 ain't bad. Better than $1000, and at least it's easier than tryna swap out the entire diff for an R180 or R200 and have to frankenstein axles.

Lol, I subscribed to this thread and get excited whenever there's a new post, but most of the time it's just people going "omg that's so cool!" Dave, when can we see some more pics or footage of this beast? I think I speak for everyone when I say that I wanna see what this baby can do!

2" lift + 4Runner GasAjusts + Moog Springs =
Not to mention after you lift it, the bump stops are essentially useless. That's one reason to use those rubber bump stop donuts that go on the strut shaft.
