  1. I would say no unless he was boosting into the coolant passage..
  2. you're so emo.......
  3. never thought you would say that.....
  4. the corner this was fuel starve, happens a lot in autoX, but with it starting to do it more and with 1/2 a tank it sounds like something isn't right.
  5. well seeing as though you are asking how, I'd trust someone else to do it, but I'll explain it anyway. you take the turbo off, pull the arm off the flapper door on the wastegate, mark around the plate to see how far you can go, and take a porting bit on a die grinder and go to town. be careful and don't go outside the line, you'll want to leave a little bit of a lip to seal still.
  6. which front mount is that? I think the perrin core would fit better....
  7. would definitely solve the problem, but thats a lot of extra work....I'd try porting the wastegate first. its not that the wastegate is bad, or is going to look bad. its that the hole is too small to let properly keep the turbo from spinning faster when you open up the area behind it.
  8. header, full 2.5 inch turbo back exhaust, leave the intake alone, and a boost controller. just don't do any long pulls unless you want to invest in some engine management
  9. "pinging" happens at any and all RPMs. Run high test for best results, unless it was de-tuned by the previous owner.
  10. any real advantages to the thicker shank and face?
  11. port the wastegate, install an EWG, or put the stock down pipe back on. this is what they do when you open the downpipe up.
  12. about 500 bucks if I remember right, 200ish for the matching downpipe. I've also got the contact info and if you tell him I sent you to him he might get you a better deal.
  13. on the interstate is where you won't notice the lack of powersteering.....its around town that it'll be "hard". I drove my RX around for awhile with no powersteering and I liked it everywhere but parking and autoXing.
  14. so you're building this engine, and using mostly stock parts? I'd atleast get some forged pistons....
  15. if it keeps doing the cold idle thing, it could be the IAC being miss-adjusted. but I'm not all that positive on which one it uses..
  16. they're TWE headers and a search would turn up a lot more info.
  17. ok let me try this THEY'RE NOT ALIGNED
  18. thats what I noticed aswell, I wonder if the bolt pattern is different on the TCs?
  19. I never knew when If was used like then he was talking about the twin......... *cue the more you know picture
  20. I have no idea, just thought maybe you could use it.
  21. also I have the flexplate off of the 22E if you want it, just pay for shipping.
  22. I don't think he was talking about the twin, just a DOHC.
