  1. hmmm garage or STI. I'd pick the garage aswell, cause you can build a better car then the STI.
  2. hey I know that place. look in your PM box Will
  3. I guess I should have re-read the thread :/
  4. indeed it does run out of steam above 5500k or so
  5. so you're putting it back on?
  6. whats the price on them? and can you get any wider than 6?
  7. what is this "lada Niva" T-case?
  8. cig lighter out of the dash on the 89 RX? I want to put it in the 88 as it doesn't have one
  9. my hatch with the BFGs doesn't understeer, just point and shoot really. my Rolla is the same with the 185s on the back, but a little more neutral. I think the reason for my hatch not understeering is from not having the power that the RX has, well that and the RX is FT4WD with the LSD in the back.
  10. ya know WJM told me to take the rear sway bar off of the 89 and put it on the 88(the one I'm driving now) but I don't remember why. I should ask him. hmmmm
  11. my hatch was my daily for a while and I NEVER had a problem with the manual streering, now the RX is much heaver but I still don't think it will be a problem. and the reason I didn't like it at the time was, I was comparing it my hatch which I think drives better (could just be the power issue) I am going to try the 185s off of my hatch and see what it does then. jay, what have you done with the engine?
  12. really I thought mine was teh fastAr
  13. unless you break your toe or something
  14. ahhh I didn't want to do that I'm 6'4" and with my hatch (non power steering)I can turn with my palm in a parking lot. (BTW you brat looks amazing, I love the gen 1's)
  15. mine understeers like a pig, even in the wet, in low I couldn't get the rear out. is this normal? and I can say I DO NOT like powersteering on the street, I can't feel what my tires are doing. and how does your brake pedal feel? is it low and soft, high and soft, low and hard, high and hard, squshy? not really liking this car right now.
  16. no he used OE (subaru headgaskets) he didn't have the time/money to do them right now
  17. I dunno but there might be one for the gauge, one for the fan(s?) and one for the ECU (which would be the one I'd check)
  18. thermo sensor, thats what I would check first anyways. how many does the EA81Ts have?
  19. the pedal in my RX is soft and it won't build pressure, I have replaced the rotors, pads, calipers, master cylinder(all of these came off of a 89RX the rotors/pads have about 500-1000 miles on them and the calipers look good (better than the ones that came off)) I bleed them in the X pattern (driver front, pass rear, pass front, driver rear) three times, once with the engine off, twice with the engine on. I bleed new brake fluid thru each bleeder screw, no air came out the last time I bleed them. what am I missing? could this be air in the master cylinder? I also checked to see if the lines expaned when somebody pressed the pedal, they didn't. thanks for any help you can offer
  20. I know but I needed all this stuff done by friday night/saturday morning, thus trying to get everything with one shot. I bleed the the old fashion way, still have air somewhere but now I have to go to work (working 6 days a week now thus having no time) I'll run the car regardless I got the pedal semi-soild now I just want it little higher/stiffer
  21. I am talking about a hand pump, I'm still not sure if you were talking about what I was (its late and I no think right now)
  22. if I use a vacuum pump and bleed them that way will it get the air out of the master cylinder(if there is) too?
