Me too. Have never replaced an axle. I watch mine and replace when they leak. Noticed long ago the quality of Subaru rubber and how long factory boots lasted. After market/parts house boots not so good. Ebay sellers have couple outer NOS boots, no inners. Guess I'll order BECK/ARNLEY 1032129 from Rock. Rubber for these old cars getting hard to get. Wonder how many still running>

Just learned Subaru has obsoleted them, the aftermarket boots don't last. Anybody able to help?

Fuse'd be good start. Try all other electrics to see if anything else wonky.

Must I remove piston to replace it? Caliper is fine but boot is torn. Not finding any videos for these.

Welcome NDL. The one on my '83 4WD GL wagon is black and has 6 wires. Wish I knew why it turned 2nd shot sideways.

This is the FPCU on my '83 GL Wagon. Bottom row; BU/RD, hot when cranking. BK hot w/ign. on. Top row; BK, GRND w/ign. on., YEL, ign. pulse from coil/ dist. module. Quit pumping gas twice yesterday. Installing temporary jumpers to attempt "in flight" diagnosis when it quits again.
