  1. My plan is to make an easy connection from summer airdam to winter topper, it should work well. I was very careful cutting it, and between the window frames and a slot on the roof it should connect nicely.
  2. I put 15,000 miles on my Brat this year, 350 miles was the longest trip. No major problems other than belts and hoses! Hope to make a longer trip when I get my 1954 teardrop restored!
  3. I spent 3 days looking for a raised letter option, even found a few and bought them only to have the orders cancelled, working on plan B!!!
  4. Thanks for the offer to help with the powdercoating, if the paint doesn't hold up I may powdercoat!!
  5. Thanks BlindSight! Sorry but I did the Hideous airdam thing, just trying to make it look like the first Brat. It comes off easy!
  6. I definitely will! I am trying to keep original paint and stickers a little longer! But I know it will need repainted eventually!!!
  7. I have the Jackman Rims ready, jackman front bumper and roll bar installed. Trying to figure out making, or locate a wind deflector. And locate 13" raised Letter tires. Not sure what the wires hanging out by the A in Brat on the wind screen.
  8. I started collecting everything I need to make a copy of the "Subaru peek in the attic Brat" now that spring is here I'm trying to complete it.
  9. Trying to duplicate the peek in the attic Subaru Brat.
  10. If you find a gasket material I would like to know what works.
  11. I have 1400 rebuilt heads I listed for sale last week, not sure if they fit?
  12. I have two Subaru heads that I believe are from a EA61 1400. I'm looking for $80 each or $150 for the pair. Would prefer pickup, but will ship. Open to trades for 1st generation Brat parts!
  13. Got my Brat Hot Wheels today!!!! The Green one has nice rubber wheels.
  14. Got the body attached, ready for bodywork and paint.
  15. The Brat is dirty from oil coating from winter! It keeps the salt away!!!! Will clean off in a couple weeks when winter is over.
  16. That one looks OK it probably needs a full restore. I would say $400-500 would be more fair. My first one looked about like that and I paid $200. The shell I got the other day for this project was FREE!!!! The guy found it in the dump 25 years ago cut in four pieces, he took it home Fiber-glassed it back together and put it in his barn rafters to fix up for his kids (never happened). He saw mine online and emailed me to see if I wanted his shell. After I get a drive-train done I'll start on the body.
  17. Yes on the rear wheel drive, unfortunately so is my gas powered one.
